During a security operation carried out with the help of the Syrian Badia’s residents, an ambush was set up against an ISIS terrorist group composed of 6 members where 3 of them were killed and the remaining ones were arrested.
The three arrested ISIS terrorists confessed that they perpetrated many terrorist operations, including murder, execution, kidnapping and acts of destruction .
Many of these terror operations were carried out upon coordination between ISIS ringleaders and US occupation forces that exist in al-Tanf area on the Syrian-Jordanian border.
The terrorist Salah Jaber al-Daher – AKA Abo Abdul Rahman al-Salafi, born in Idleb in 1998, said that he joined ISIS organization through one of his relatives [ called Abo Salam Omareyeh] who was among the members of this Takfiri organization and he exploited his need for money and introduced him to another person called Samer al-Bori, who transported him to Jabal al-Bashari area in the Syrian Badia where he was welcomed by ISIS terrorists , including Abo Islam. This took place in 2018.
On his part, the second terrorist Abo al-Baraa al-Homsi, born in Homs in 1999, said that he met a person called Firas al-Khalid in Homs city in 2017. This person had a clothes shop and proposed to give him USD 100-200 and to transport him to Raqqa to join ISIS. He accepted the proposal because he was in need of money.
The third terrorist, Amer Abdul Ghaffar Neameh- AKA Abo Swan- born in Hasaka in 2001, said that he communicated via Whatsapp with his cousin Wahid Meameh, who was in the Badia and he told him that he will get money and a car if he joins the organization.
The 3 terrorists confessed that they were trained for several weeks by ISIS judges, who told them that they are Jihadist and any person fighting against ISIS is an infidel. They were also trained on how to use guns and rockets, including US rockets.
The terrorists were introduced to the so-called ISIS emirs of several nationalities besides fighters of French, British and Indonesian nationalities.
As for some of the crimes in which those terrorists were involved, the first terrorist [ Abo Abdul Rahman al-Salafi] said that he killed 21 people while they were searching for truffles and he carried out operations against Syrian army’s convoys.
“We were setting up ambushes against the Syrian army and civilian cars in several areas in aal-Badia'” he added.
The terrorists stressed that they were receiving orders from US occupation forces in al-Tanf area. These occupation forces were ordering ISIS ringleader Hasan Alqam al-Jazrawi of Saudi nationality, to target Syrian army’ units, Palmyra, T4 airbase, oil fields in Palmyra region.
One of the terrorists said: ” A person closed to al-Jezrawi, his name was Hasan al-Wali, told me that he met Americans in al-Tanf base and they told him that we must attack Palmyra region and the T4 airbase and they will provide us with rocket launchers, guns, money, cars and drones. They downlaoded Tag program on their mobiles to observe the movements of the Syrian army. Al-Jazrawi said that he will do that but he needs time to bring fighters from Euphrates region because the current number is not enough”. The terrorists asserted that there is coordination between ISIS ringleaders and the ringleaders of ” Maghawer al-Thawra” which is affiliated to the so-called the “Free army” in the vicinity of al-Tanf base.
The terrorists were ordered to keep in touch with their ringleaders in order to go in and out the base. The terrorists cited that the ISIS terrorists were holding the kidnapped people in holes under the ground, in trenches and cars.
The Terrorist pointed out that there were negotiations between ISIS ringleaders in Raqqa and the ringleaders of the US-backed “Syrian Democratic Forces”.
One of the terrorists admitted that the US and SDF forces covered their move from Raqqa towards Der Ezzour.
The terrorists affirmed that three ISIS members : Abo Sofyan al-Jazrawi, Abo Jnid al-Halabi and Abo Brahim al-Demashqi, who were in charge of financial managent in Badia, were going every month to al-Tanf base to bring 3 trucks loaded with food, weapons and money ro be distributed among ISIS members in Badia region.
Every terrorist gets $100, while ringleaders gets $500 and the military Wali gets $1000. Al-Tanf base was a safe place for terrorists to receive medical treatment when they were injured.
Saudi Finance Minister Abdullah Al-Jadaan has tried to justify the position of King Salman and his son towards the responsibility for the deteriorating economic and living conditions of the Saudi citizens, by placing full responsibility on the coronavirus, which has been a guest of the Saudis since only a couple of months.
Jadaan considered stopping the cost of living allowance starting from June, raising the value-added tax rate from 5% to 15% starting from July 1, canceling, extending or delaying some items of operating and capital expenditures for a number of government agencies and reducing the credits of a number of initiative programs and projects in 2020, as additional measures to address the financial and economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic.
Jadaan also blamed the virus for the decrease in oil revenues for Saudi Arabia, which reached half or more due to the significant drop in the price of a barrel, which fell from $ 60 to $ 20, pushing Saudi Arabia to borrow 220 billion riyals this year.

Among these three mistakes, the aggression against Yemen remains the biggest, most serious and most influential mistake on the deteriorating economic situation of Saudi Arabia. The curse of the children of Yemen, whose bodies were torn apart by the Saudi aggression, and turned those who kept them alive into skeletons, would not only deplete the treasury of Al Saud, but would also destroy their regime on their heads.

It will shake, not the Saudi economy, whose signs of its collapse appear with the collapse of oil prices and the halt of Hajj and Umrah, only, but the entire Saudi entity. حاول وزير المالية السعودي عبد الله الجدعان تبرير ساحة الملك سلمان وابنه من مسؤولية تدهور الاوضاع الاقتصادية والمعيشية للمواطن السعودي، عبر القاء المسؤولية كاملة على عاتق فيروس كورونا الذي لم يحل ضيفا على السعوديين الا منذ شهرين فقط.
العالم – يقال ان جدعان اعتبر ايقاف بدل غلاء المعيشة بدءاً من شهر حزيران/يونيو، ورفع نسبة ضريبة القيمة المضافة من 5% إلى 15% بدءاً من الأول تموز/يوليو، وإلغاء أو تمديد أو تأجيل بعض بنود النفقات التشغيلية والرأسمالية لعدد من الجهات الحكومية وخفض اعتمادات عدد من مبادرات برامج ومشاريع عام 2020، بانها اجراءات اضافية لمواجهة الآثار المالية والاقتصادية الناتجة عن جائحة فيروس كورونا.
كما القى جدعان على كورونا ايضا مسؤولية انخفاض الإيرادات النفطية للسعودية التي وصلت إلى النصف او اكثر بسب الانخفاض الكبير فى سعر البرميل الذى هبط من 60 دولارا إلى 20 دولارا، وهو ما سيدفع السعودية الى ان تقترض 220 مليار ريال هذه السنة.
ما حاول الجدعان التستر عليه يعرفه السعوديون قبل غيرهم ، فكورونا بريئة من تدهور الوضع الاقتصادي والمعيشي للسعودية كبراءة الذئب من دم ابن يعقوب، فكورونا لا يمكنها ان تنسف ميزانية السعودية في شهرين وتجعلها تقترض وترفع الدعم عن الفقراء، فالذي اوصل السعودية الى ما وصلت اليه الان هو ولي العهد محمد بن سلمان شخصيا ولا احد غيره، وهذه الحقيقة لم نكتشفها نحن، بل هي حقيقة واضحة للجميع ولا يختلف عليها اثنان.
ثلاث اخطاء كارثية ارتكبها ابن سلمان ومازال يصر عليها بعناد غير مفهوم، الاول جريمته الكبرى المتمثل بشنه الحرب على الشعب اليمني ومنذ ست سنوات، والخطا الثاني منحه مفاتيح الخزينة السعودية الى شخص جشع مثل الرئيس الامريكي دونالد ترامب لضمان دعم امريكا له في الوصول الى حكم ، اما الخطأ الثالث فهو خطأ غير ارادي ويعود الى مرض يعاني منه ابن سلمان وهو مرض جنون العظمة، الذي يدفعه الى ان يلعب مع الكبار، اعتقادا منه انه يقود دولة عظمى، كما يحلو لذبابه الالكتروني ان يصفوا السعودية، ومن اكثر تداعيات هذا المرض كارثية كانت منافسته لروسيا على اسواق النفط وذلك عندما اراد معاقبتها عبر اغراق اسواق النفط بشكل غير مسبوق فاوصل اسعار النفط الى اقل من صفر!!.
امام هذه الاخطاء الثلاثة يبقى خطا العدوان على اليمن هو الخطا الاكبر والافدح والاكثر تاثيرا على تدهور الوضع الاقتصادي للسعودية، فلعنة اطفال اليمن التي مزق العدوان السعودي اجسادهم وحول من تبقي منهم على قيد الحياة الى هياكل عظمية، لن تستنزف خزينة ال سعود فحسب بل ستهد اركان نظامهم على رؤوسهم وما ذلك على الله بعزيز.
عندما نقول ان لعنة اطفال اليمن ستبقى تطارد آل سعود حتى تنسفهم كما نسفت خزائنهم، فاننا ننطلق بذلك من حقائق نراها على الارض، ففي الوقت الذي يقول العقل السليم ان على ال سعود ان يوقفوا عدوانهم على اطفال اليمن بعد ست سنوات من الحرب العبثية التي ازهقت الارواح واستنزفت الثروات دون طائل، الا اننا نرى عقل ابن سلمان يأمره بعكس ذلك تماما، ففي الوقت الذي تتفق دول العالم على ضرورة وقف الحروب والنزاعات لمواجهة خطر وباء كورونا، نراه يأمر بتكثيف الغارات على المناطق المدنية ويوغل بدماء اطفال اليمن ويحرمهم من الحياة بعد ان حرمهم من الطعام والدواء.
في الوقت الذي تضغط الحقائق والوقائع على ابن سلمان لدفعه الى اتخاذ قرار حكيم بوقف الحرب على اليمن وانقاذ بلاده من الافلاس المحتم، نرى “عبقريته” تتفتق تحت هذا الضغط عن افكار للتقليل من نفقات العدوان على اليمن، منها طرد اعضاء حكومة الرئيس اليمني المستقيل والهارب عبد ربه منصور هادي من الفنادق الفاخرة التي كانوا يعيشون فيها خلال السنوات الماضية، الى شقق صغيرة متواضعة، كما تم قطع اغلب الخدمات التي كانت تقدم لهم مثل خدمات الطعام المفتوح في الفنادق والمطاعم!!.
ما دامت هذه العقلية المتخلفة والمتعجرفة هي التي تحكم السعودية، فإن الاجراءت التي اعلن عنها الجدعان مؤخرا لن تكون الاخيرة بل ستكون حلقة من سلسة طويلة من الاجراءات التقشفية التي سيعلن عنها تباعا وستهز ليس الاقتصاد السعودي الذي بدات بوادر انهياره تظهر مع انهيار اسعار النفط ووقف الحج والعمرة فحسب، بل الكيان السعودي بأكمله.. انها لعنه اطفال اليمن.
يوم الأحد المقبل سيعلن بن يامين نتياهو عن تشكيلته الحكومية الجديدة، بالاشتراك مع حزب ازرق – ابيض، ويبدأ إجراءات الثقة البرلمانية بها، وذلك بعد طول انتظار، إذ إن المفاوضات الوزارية بين طرفي الإتلاف قد أخذت وقتاً طويلاً في نقاشات مستفيضة حول حصص كل حزب من المقاعد الوزارية والإدارات العليا في الدولة، وذلك أكثر مما اخذ الجانب السياسي من وقت وجهد. فالجانب السياسي وهو الأهم والأبرز سيكون في إعلان الحكومة عن إقرار عملية الضم لمناطق الأغوار وشمال البحر الميت والمستوطنات وبرية الخليل والشروع الفوري في تنفيذها سواء على مراحل متقاربة أم دفعة واحدة، الأمر الذي لن تواجهه صعوبات. فالمسألة تكاد أن تكون إجماعية في المجتمع العنصري المنزاح يميناً، ولن تنال الاثنين وسبعين صوتاً في الكنيست فقط وإنما سيؤيد هذه القرارات لفيف من الأطياف المعارضة للحكومة مثل نفتالي بينت الذي أعلن أنه ومن صفوف المعارضة سيدعم الحكومة بكل قوة في إجرائها، هذا وبالطبع سيصوت لصالح الضم لبرمان الذي لطالما كان من المبشرين والسباقين لهذا التوجه، ومثله الأحزاب الحريدية واليمينية الأخرى.
في هذه الأثناء أتت زيارة وزير الخارجية الأميركي السريعة لتل أبيب وهي الأولى له خارج الولايات المتحدة منذ بدء سريان قرار منع السفر الذي اتخذته واشنطن اثر انتشار وباء الكورونا، البيان المشترك الذي صدر عقب جولة المحادثات بين نتنياهو وضيفه ذكر في البيان انّ الحوار دار حول نقطتين :
الأولى حول قرار الضم المذكور والذي هو في الأساس البند المحوري في صفقة القرن والذي تدور حواليه ما يسميه الأميركان رؤية الرئيس ترامب لعملية السلام. وأشارت بعض المصادر إلى أن المحادثات أكدت دعم الإدارة الأميركية لعملية الضم، فيما مصادر أخرى ذكرت أن الوزير الأميركي طلب من نتنياهو أو( تمنى) عليه التريث قليلا في إعلانه عن الضم، ربما بسبب رجاء أردني بتأخير إعلان القرار وبتنفيذه على مراحل ريثما تستطيع الحكومة الأردنية تمريره، ولكن ذلك يذهب في مذاهب الظن، أما بشكل رسمي فلم توضح المصادر الأسباب، وهو ما ستكشفه الأيام المقبلة، لكن الوقائع والتصريحات المتلاحقة الصادرة عن البيت الأبيض أو على لسان بومبيو شخصياً تعتبر الضمّ مسألة داخلية اسرائيلية، أو في مقابلة السفير الأميركي دافيد فريدمان لصحيفة «إسرائيل هيوم» مؤخراً لا تشير إلى أنّ ضغطاً أو تمنياً قد تقدّم به الوزير الأميركي لتأجيل والتريث في قرار الضمّ.
الثانية في محادثات بومبيو – نتنياهو كانت حول مخاطر النشاط الإيراني وضرورة تقويضه وقطع موارد إمداده، وهو أمر يشمل الدور الإيراني في سورية والعراق وبالطبع حزب الله، وسبق ذلك قرار أميركي بسحب وحدات عسكرية أميركية من الخليج، ثم ما تردّد عن رغبة أميركية بالانسحاب من المشاركة في قوات حفظ السلام المرابطة في سيناء منذ توقيع اتفاقية السلام المصرية – الإسرائيلية عام 1978 (معاهدة كامب دافيد). وقد أشارت مراكز أبحاث أميركية مقربة من سياسة بلادها ودوائرها الحاكمة أن أسباب الانسحاب لها أسبابها المالية، فيما رأت مراكز أخرى أنّ الانسحاب من المنطقة هو بسبب انهيار سعر النفط وانخفاض الطلب عليه، الأمر الذي جعل أهمية المنطقة تتدنّى استراتيجياً، ولكن مراكز ثالثة وجدت السبب في نتائج الحصار الطويل الذي تعاني منه إيران وأنه قاد إلى متاعب داخلية ثم إلى أكلاف التورّط الإيراني في الملف السوري، وأخيراً إلى الانخفاض الحادّ بأسعار البترول، فذلك يعني بحساباتهم أنّ إيران قد ضعفت إلى الحد الذي جعلها غير قادرة على أن تمثل تهديداً استراتيجياً للمصالح الأميركية أو تهديداً وجودياً لـ «إسرائيل».
تضرب «إسرائيل» في سورية منذ مطلع نيسان الماضي بشكل شبه متواصل فهي مطلقة اليد أميركياً، فيما الحكومة السورية تبدو مكبلة اليد روسياً، ومع أنّ الضربات تستهدف الإيرانيين في سورية، إلا أن ذلك يتمّ على الأرض السورية ويمسّ سيادتها وأمنها ومصالحها، والإيرانيون في سورية ليسوا من فئة السياح والمتنزّهين وإنما هم خبراء قد يكونون عسكريين وقد لا يكونون، ولكنهم في كلّ الأحوال موجودون في سورية لدعم جهود الدولة في محاربة الإرهاب، وقد بدأ الإسرائيلي وصحافته يذهبون في تصوّراتهم الى أنّ هذه الضربات ستضطر إيران إلى الانسحاب من سورية.
عود إلى محادثات بومبيو – نتنياهو، في الملف الأول لا يبدو أنّ السلطة التي تقترض 800 مليون شيكل بصدد الرحيل أو حلّ نفسها أو الخروج من الاتفاقات مع الأميركي أو الإسرائيلي، وإلا فكيف يمكن للحكومة التي تعلن صبحاً ومساء أنها ستقوم بعمليه الضم أن تقرض السلطة التي تعلن قبل تسلم المبلغ أنها لن تقوم بسداده لأنها راحلة أو لأنها في حلّ من أية اتفاقات أو التزامات مع الإدارة الأميركية أو «إسرائيل»، وان رحلت السلطة فإنّ الأرض باقية بمن عليها ولا أظن أنّ هناك من سيملأ فراغها سوى «إسرائيل» وعساكرها، حقاً أنّ الأمور في فلسطين تغيظ الصديق وتسرّ العدو.
في الملف الثاني فمع ما تشيعه الصحافة الإسرائيليّة وشقيقاتها من بعض الصحف العربية، فمن الواضح أنّ إيران باقية في سورية ما دامت الدولة السورية تجد الحاجة لبقائها، وإيران تدرك أهمية الملفات السورية والعراقية لأمنها القومي، واعتبارات الأمن القومي هي محركها وآلتها الدائمة الدوران، ولكن المسألة الأهمّ والأخطر هي أن الانسحاب الأميركي من الخليج يتمّ في غياب تنسيق عربي إيراني وفي غياب استراتيجية عربية لملء الفراغ الناشئ عن الانسحاب الأميركي، وذلك سيجعل من «إسرائيل» المدعومة أميركياً تهرول لملء الفراغ… فالسياسة مثل الطبيعة تكره الفراغ.

Pedersen, affixed to Syria via some preposition (on? above? around? at?) remained stoic whilst claiming that COVID 19 and its ramifications will become a multiplier of humanitarian needs in Syria. Essentially his speech was the same as the one he gave in March, when the UN held a tutorial on applying the philosophy of Goebbels to re-colonizing Syria. Norway continues its draconian lockdown of its citizenry and of its borders while audaciously declaring its self-appointed right to enter the Syrian Arab Republic.

It is not, therefore, a surprise that this deputy diplomat stated his satisfaction with the illicit economic terrorism against Syria.
Those countries that break out from the former eastern block become more radical in their enmity to their former allies in order to submit their papers of acceptance to the new club: NATO, EU, the U.S.F.S.: United States Faithful Servants, and the International Monetary Funds slaves.

An indepth look at the recent coronavirus-related political and social developments in Russia by a regular SouthFront reader from Moscow.
Implementing President Putin’s directives, Russian federal authorities intensified their efforts to contain both the economic and social impact of the nation-wide coronavirus lockdown, and also some local authorities’ overzealous efforts. This move was impatiently awaited by the Russian society for a month.
It became clear in May that something went wrong in Russia. While in March one could still speak of insufficient medical statistics, of contradictory scientific findings, by now the SARS-COV-v2 situation has become clear.
Due to a variety of reasons, in March and April the world had to cope not so much with the spread of the virus, but rather a pandemic of fear and other processes which might collectively be called “coronacrisis”. One can thus identify three main challenges for humanity today:
The coronavirus epidemic as such;
The global socio-economic crisis;
The pandemic of fear and mass psychosis which complicated professional assessments of the first two problems and, therefore, the development of effective anti-crisis measures.
Separately, one should note that many political forces and financial circles have used the situation for profit. This includes deal-makers of all kinds, from petty speculators and local officials to global elites and corporations. No, they did not “create coronavirus”, at least there is no credible data to this effect, but they nevertheless used it to their advantage.
Russia was not bypassed by these processes. What is more, Russia experienced them to a greater extent than others. It turned out that Russian bureaucracy is unable to deal with new threats and challenges. It uncovered the clannish character of a sizable portion of Russian elites. It revealed problems with executive competence of many regional and federal officials. Especially when it comes to the economy, health care, and social security.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin apparently found himself in informational vacuum, which was particularly evident in the first half of April. It seems that the negative socio-economic developments were triggered by Vladimir Putin’s seemingly correct decision, made in late March, to give regions extraordinary powers. It meant decentralizing authority in order to give regional officials authority to act according to the situation in their region. That’s how many other countries have done, including Germany where the outcome was a positive one.
However, Russian bureaucracy and “liberal” clans that have fused with official institutions and which view themselves as a “new aristocracy” are not the same thing as German regional officials. The gap between Russian elite clans and the population is huge. This is the reason for the clumsy and in some cases even criminal, profit-motivated actions by elite clans after they were granted extraordinary powers.
Modern liberalism, sometimes referred to as “neo-liberalism”, is an ideology promoting serving global monopolies and market speculators. These “liberals” top priority is increasing personal consumption with minimal intellectual or physical effort, using the margin simplification of modern technologies in order to satisfy selfish desires under the guise of post-modern sophistry. Thus they consume public resources while giving nothing in return. Rather, they stand in the way of humanity’s progress.
President Putin and his closest administration members realized by mid-April that unless action is taken at federal level, the situation could quickly transform from critical to catastrophic. It was necessary to reassert control.
On April 23, President Vladimir Putin ordered the government to mitigate the socio-economic crisis being provoked by the COVID-19 outbreak.
“The coronavirus epidemic, challenging the whole world, threatens the lives and health of people first and foremost, but it also impacts the economy, and the condition of entire industries, which is no less dangerous,” Putin said. “Our common crucial task is to mitigate such adverse effects and reduce inevitable socioeconomic losses.”
The president noted that this is exactly why the government made a number of decisions to support families, employment and households’ revenues, individual entrepreneurs, small and medium enterprises, and industry-forming companies, along with measures for disease prevention and bolstering healthcare capabilities.
“Nobody needs abstract promises that don’t affect people’s lives, and the effect of such decisions and allocated resources will be low,” Putin said, adding that the government and the Central Bank should promptly make the necessary changes to the regulatory framework.
“It’s not enough to announce that decisions have been made, dear colleagues. We need to work through all the stages of their implementation so that the help arrives on time so that those who really need it can take advantage of it.”
Earlier, on April 15, the Russian president announced a first package of measures to support the country’ economy hit by consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak and the following lockdown. The measures included:
Monthly state payments to small and medium-sized businesses for every employee in April and May, provided firms maintain 90% of their workforce. The payment is 12,130 rubles ($160) for an employee per month;
The federal government allocates a package of 200 billion rubles ($2.6 billion) of support for regional budgets;
At least 23 billion rubles ($307 million) of government support for airlines.
The federal government will reform the government-backed system of interest-free salary loans for firms. The reform is aimed at providing an easier access to loans by businesses.
As of April 24, the Central Bank of Russia (CBR) estimated economic losses at 4-6% of annual GDP. This was the first recorded outcome of actions undertaken by regional authorities and the economic bloc of the federal government, thanks to whom the economy had ground to a halt even in regions where the number of cases was in single or double digits. Even the RCB team of economic liberals was forced to acknowledge that fact, even as they opposed direct economic support of enterprises and the population.
“The Bank of Russia has substantially reviewed its baseline scenario parameters. GDP is forecast to decrease by 4-6% in 2020. The Russian economy is thereafter expected to follow a recovery path with growth predicted to total 2.8-4.8% in 2021 and 1.5-3.5% in 2022,” the press release says.
“The spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Russia and the restrictive measures in place to address it have combined with a drop in external demand and a further decline in the prices of oil and other export goods to make a substantial negative impact on economic activity. In this environment, Q2 GDP is set to decline.”
According to the press release, the deficit of the payment balance in 2020 will be $35 billion in 2020 and $20 billion in 2021, and a return to surplus is expected in 2022. The negative payment balance is forecasted for the first time since 1997.
The complicated socio-economic situation caused by the coronavirus crisis and its economic consequences of the national-wide lockdown revealed a conflict between the representatives of the formally “patriotic” part of the elites and the so-called “liberals” affiliated with the West and the global financial capital.
For example, the head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina publicly opposes initiatives to introduce additional measures to stabilize the Russian currency market and prevent currency speculations amid the developing economic and social crisis.
On April 23, it became publicly known that the office of Elvira Nabiullina has sent the Ministry of Economic Development a letter in which it asked to silence ex-presidential adviser and the current Integration and Macroeconomics Minister of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergei Glazyev. The letter claimed that Glazyev’s statements “carry reputational risks for joint government and Bank of Russia”.
A few days earlier, Glaziev proposed to levy a tax (0.01%) on purchase of foreign currency, as well as to fix the currency position of commercial banks and introduce a time lag between the application for purchase and delivery of currency. These measures (employed in multiple countries around the world) should help to stabilize the financial market and limit the impact of currency speculations (the tax of 0.01% will affect only actors that make hundreds of thousands speculative purchases).
Glazyev alongside other prominent economists that can afford the luxury of having own independent opinion describe the current economic crisis “a consequence of profound structural changes in the global economy due to a change in technological and world economic structures”. He emphasizes the need to implement stabilization measures and consistently accuses the Central Bank of giving control of the ruble exchange rate to financial speculators.
It was during this time that the public rift between so-called “globalists” and national-oriented forces was growing not only in the economic sphere. The Federal Government and the Parliament started to demonstrate that they do not support actions of the team led by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and forces which it represents. The bone of contention are the draconian lockdown measures, mass surveillance, and illegal fees for violations of the ‘self-isolation regime’ pushed by the Moscow city managers.
While many European countries started to ease coronavirus restrictions in the second half of April, the Sobyanin team was seeking to increase pressure and limitations under the pretext of the crisis. These attempts were being conducted under the cover of unprecedented propaganda campaign that included even threats to deploy troops on the streets of the city, tighten the ‘self-isolation’ regime (in fact the home arrest regime) and further, and statements blaming Moscow residents for failures of the regional authorities.
The threat to deploy troops on the streets of Moscow was made by Sobyanin in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel on April 23.
“In many other large cities, the situation is somewhat different, first they introduce very soft, very democratic measures, and then they are forced to send troops into the streets. We don’t want this scenario, so we have the optimal mode of self-isolation installed in Moscow ,” Sobyanin said hinting that if Moscow residents continue demonstrating their dissatisfaction with the city managers’ actions, troops will be deployed.
As later events have shown, these actions had no impact on Moscow’s actual epidemiological situation, though the fines did enrich the city budget and organizations close to the mayor. Moscow government also tried to shift blame onto the inhabitants. For example, on April 24 , Deputy Mayor of Moscow Anastasia Rakovablamed Moscow residents for the regional authorities’ move to harden the imposed regime of ‘self-isolation’.
“Of course, what can I say, Moscow residents are tired. And they really became less responsible towards the compliance with the regime of self-isolation. More and more people go out on the street, use their personal or public transport. We were forced to take measures aimed at tightening the regime of self-isolation,” Rakova said.
Rakova added that there are more and more hospitalized and severely ill patients with COVID-19 in the capital.
“If last week the average daily level of hospitalization was 1,300-1,400 people, today it is 1,900,” Rakova said.
The numbers provided by Rakova originated from the Moscow COVID-19 HQ that on April 23 noted the increase of COVID-19 cases in the city and said that the situation was worsening.
Let’s take a look what happen in Moscow a week earlier that caused the increase of COVID-19 cases. For everyone, excluding Russian mainstream media and the Moscow COVID-19 HQ, the answer is clear.

Note: The pass for movement is a set of letters and numbers. The first four characters indicate the expiration date of the document, and the remaining 12 will identify its owner and the purpose of the trip.
Electronic passes are divided into three categories:
for trips to work or business trips – issued once valid through to the end of the month;
for trips to medical institutions – issued for trips to a specific hospital, the number of such passes per week is not limited;
one-time for trips for personal purposes that do not violate the rules of the self-isolation regime – issued for one day no more than twice a week.
Contrary to the public declarations of the city managers, the very first day of the usage of the digital pass system in fact contributed to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Russia and derailed the previous weeks of the ‘self-isolation regime’ and sacrifices of the country’s economy.
The reason of the traffic collapse and the new wave of the COVID-19 outbreak spread was the demand of Sobyanin to conduct mass checks of digital passes. The Moscow authorities through its channels immediately laid blame for the consequences of their own actions on Police, in particular on the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs branch in the Moscow Metro Colonel Shamil Sibanov.
It is hard to imagine that Sobyanin that has a wide and long experience of management of the social systems and his team of ‘effective managers’ did not foresee how the digital pass system introduction would end.
As a result of the April 15 incident and similar developments of smaller scale in the next days, tens of thousands people (the estimated number is 30,000-50,000) were likely infected.
The average incubation period of the COVID-19 disease is 5.1 days. In the case of a severe progress of the disease, the exacerbation occurs after 2nd-3rd day from the onset of symptoms of the disease. If the course is moderate, then exacerbation could occur on the 7-8th day. Accordingly, the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Moscow was expected to begin on April 21-22 and, according to an official data by the Moscow COVID-19 HQ, this happened.
In spite of the tragedy, the Moscow authorities continued to push their ‘digital pass system’ idea and even further expanded the digital surveillance and control measures over Moscow residents.
On April 22, they imposed an automated control of digital passes for personal, government and commercial transport moving around the city. Cameras for photo and video recording of traffic violations monitor whether license plate numbers are included in the lists of such passes. If the number is not entered in the digital pass, the car owner is being recognized as a violator of the ‘self-isolation regime’ and gets a fine of 5,000 rubles (~66 USD).
This applies to everyone, including military service members, special service officers and federal officials. Therefore, Moscow authorities insist that officers (including intelligence officers) and officials should provide their personal data to the united database managed by the regional authorities to avoid fines. This poses a direct threat to the interest of the state and creates conditions for leaks of sensitive data to Western special and intelligence services. There is no secret that a major part of the Sobyanin team, including Sobyanin himself, are directly or indirectly affiliated with the West. For example, the main consultants of Moscow mayor’s office, including the health departments, social welfare, and IT is Boston Consulting Group and people from openly pro-Western Higher School of Economics.
The positions of the federal government, security services and the federal legislative system were ignored. This measure also went contrary to the recommendations of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
All of these measures were adopted additionally to the already existing fees for ‘self-isolation’ regime violations.
Note: On April 2, Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced administrative fines for violations of the regime of ‘self-isolation’ in the city. The document (a Moscow city law) was published on the mayor’s official website. The law provides for a fine for violators of up to 5,000 rubles (~ 65 USD), and for organizations – up to 500,000 rubles (6,410 USD).
This situation created an additional administrative pressure on city residents, especially socially disadvantaged groups of the population that had little resources to pay new fines, but still had an essential need to go to work, travel to the hospital, help relatives with the purchase of products and had other urgent matters to leave home.
The financial explanation of the current situation is that the Moscow city managers are just creating an additional instrument to solidify their own power and compensate economic losses from traffic rules violations fine and paid parking.
The Sobyanin team tried to expand these flawed policies to other regions. The Moscow mayor was a mastermind behind idea to expand the Moscow style system into the entire country. For sure under his control and based on a smartphone app developed for the Moscow region.
Russia needs digital passes “so that we could see the traffic, its volume and the travelers,” he claimed.
“I believe [the system] can be extended… to control the movement of air, rail and intercity and inter-regional bus transport.”
It’s worth reminding these events unfolded between April 6 and 24. In other words, when Moscow’s mayor practically usurped power in the socio-economic realm in the whole country. The Coronavirus HQ headed by Sobyanin duplicated the functions of Prime Minister Mishustin’s government agencies. His influence on regional elites greatly exceeded that of Mishustin who took up his post only 3 months earlier. Moreover, Mishustin was not perceived as a political player but merely as an effective technocrat. Many governors copied Moscow mayor’s actions, viewing him as, at a minimum, the future Prime Minister.
President V.V. Putin only began to overcome the cloud of disinformation at that time. It apparently became possible after Putin was forced to adopt self-isolation and remote work after visiting the Kommunarka infection ward.
On March 24, President Putin visited a hospital for coronavirus patients on Kommunarka. It was the first repurposed Moscow clinic. During his visit, Putin was accompanied by the chief physician Denis Protsenko.
On March 28, Putin’s visible activity dropped off. It did not return to normal on March 30. At the same time, it was announced that Protsenko contracted COVID-19 (he recovered by April 15). Putin self-isolates. After that, in late March and early April, changes were made in federal laws which further allowed Moscow mayor Sobyanin revamp municipal legislation and de-facto take it out of the federal power structure.
It’s not clear whether the decline in Putin’s political activity in the first two weeks of April was connected to his health or whether it was a political maneuver. It’s hard not to notice that after April 15, and especially after April 23, Putin began to operate more actively. There were clear signals given that Putin was not pleased with Putin’s activity. In spite of draconian measures, the number of COVID-19 cases in Moscow grew. There was information about the catastrophic situation in a number of Moscow clinics, and that Moscow health care officials want as many fatalities attributed to COVID-19 as possible.
The motivation to categorize all individuals with respiratory symptoms as COVID-19 cases became more clear after it became known that several large sites in Moscow and Moscow region would be reconstructed as hangar-style hospitals.
Such hospitals are being built, for example, in Pavilion No. 75 of VDNKh. With a surface area of 53 thousand square meters, it can accommodate 1,779 beds. This is an hangar with a single ventilation system where the beds are not separated by hard partitions. In addition to VDNKh, similar temporary hospitals for patients supposedly suffering from COVID-19 will be deployed in the Krasnaya Presnya Expo-Center, the Sokolniki Convention and Exhibition Center, Krylatskoye Ice Palace, and Moskva Mall on the Kashirka Road. They would have a total of 10 thousand beds, not counting 5 thousand additional beds being added to existing city hospitals. These hangar hospitals would collect all patients with signs of respiratory illness, including flu, pneumonia, bacterial bronchitis, allergies, etc., in other words everyone who was suspected of COVID-19.
It’s obvious that there is high danger of intra-hospital mutual infections. Considering the high contagiousness of SARS-COV-v2, one can assume that soon every patient in such hangar hospital would be COVID-19-positive. Billions of rubles were disbursed without proper evaluation of competing offers. The average cost of a single bed, according to open sources, would be about 650 thousand rubles (8,666 USD). In turn, a single COVID-19 course of treatment costs about 205 thousand rubles (2,733 USD), according to mandatory health insurance price tables. It’s more expensive than, for example, a chemotherapy round of treatments in Russia.
In accordance with the decision by Moscow government, these funds ought to be allocated for every patient admitted to a COVID-19 hangar hospital. This in a situation where tests supposedly “don’t work”, diagnoses are issued according to symptoms. As a result, there are massive opportunities for personal enrichment for a small circle of people.
What is more, many existing hospitals repurposed as COVID-19 infection centers are using only 30% of their capacity. For example, the Voronovskoye Moscow Infectious Disease Clinical Center is operating at only 25% capacity. The Center, which has 800 beds, admitted only 233 patients as of May 12. A similar situation can be observed in the Kommunarka hospital where, as of May 13, there were only 317 patients as compared to its capacity of 1300 beds, not counting the 1000 beds that were additionally set up. The 15th Filatovo Hospital which was one of the first to take in COVID-19 patients, had 1340 patients as of May 12, while the capacity was 1740 beds.
Ordinary hospitals in the meantime greatly reduced or stopped planned operations and patient visits. It particularly concerns the cancer patients, heart surgeries, transplants, planned surgeries on children, etc. One can find a video on the Internet with a multi-kilometer chain of ambulances, caused not by a huge number of respiratory patients but criminally incompetent logistical organization.
Death rate is increasing not so much from COVID-19 complications but rather from poorly organized Moscow health care system, and also a decrease in Moscow inhabitants’ immunity who were forbidden to leave homes, participate in any form of physical activity in open air, and were subjected to massive informational stress.
Economic problems are becoming critical, with a sharp increase in unemployment.
None of these facts went unnoticed in the Kremlin. On April 30, 2020, there was unexpected information on how Prime Minister Mishustin allegedly became infected and is leaving for hospital treatment. His place was temporarily occupied by the First Deputy Prime Minister Andrey Belousov, a Soviet-school economist. Moreover, he was appointed as the acting Prime Minister by Vladimir Putin’s decree. In earlier such cases of illness or absence, no such decrees followed. Belousov is not only a widely acknowledged professional but also a political heavyweight. He may be compared, with qualifications, to such major figures as Maslyukov and Gerashchenko who led Russia out of the 1998 crisis.
Events continued to unfold. On May 6, there was another meeting that included President Putin and Acting Prime Minister Belousov. Following the meeting, the coronavirus control authority was de-facto returned to the government of the Russian Federation from Sobyanin’s working group. Moreover, the Moscow mayor was not able to force the government to extent quarantine until the end of May for the whole country. Deliberately promoted media hysteria concerning coronavirus dangers did not help either, nor did playing around with statistics. For example, during the meeting Sobyanin claimed that Moscow supposedly had 300,000 infections. Furthermore, he claimed that the number of hospitalizations in Moscow has not changed. Sobyanin’s motives are unclear. They may be based in political ambitions, but also on economic calculations.
Not having achieved his goal, Sobyanin de-facto ignored the president’s position and announced that Moscow’s self-isolation would be extended to May 31 with the regime being further strengthened through the addition of the requirement to wear masks and gloves under the penalty of fines.
Several regions immediately followed suit, apparently by inertia. They included the Moscow region, St. Petersburg, and Crimea. Which makes it all the more surprising to hear that the admissions of patients into hospitals was reduced by, for example in Kommunarka, a factor of three.
Masks and gloves are not provided for free, but rather are being sold by businesses affiliated with the Moscow mayor’s office. For example, the Moscow metro 50 rubles, or 70 cents, will buy you ONE very simple mask and gloves. The Rospotrebnadzor recommended term of wearing such mask does not exceed 2 hours.
On May 14, it was revealed that Moscow authorities bought the largest producer of masks in Russia. According to the available data, before the start of the crisis the cost of a single mask was 1 ruble (0.013 USD). After the start of the COVID-19 crisis, the cost grew up to 7 rubles (0.093 USD). At the same time, the cost of a single mask, which is being sold in the Moscow Metro (controlled by the local authorities), is 30 rubles (0.4 USD). The revenue from this business goes to persons and organizations affiliated with the city’s mayor.
On top of this, the Sobyanin team undertook additional steps to increase an administrative pressure on Moscow residents. In April, local authorities obliged people that receive administrative protocols imposing on them a forceful regime of quarantine (ironically described as the self-isolation) imposed on them because they may be suspected of being infected with SARS-CoV-2 to install a special application on their phones and tablets. The application monitors the activity and location (via GPS) of the user and demands him to make selfies (sent to the dedicated server) to confirm his location several times per day (in fact almost every hour). This move put Moscow a one step closer to becoming a real-life digital concentration camp.
On April 16, Moscow authorities officially announced a decision to label all people with respiratory symptoms will be diagnosed with “suspected coronavirus infection”. All of these people, whom the mayor team was able to locate and detect, became a target of forceful monitoring and administrative limitations. In fact, administrative decisions of these kind are imposed widely towards a variety of people, including children with sinusitis, rhinitis, otits, people with allergy or some chronic illness. The Sobyanin team did not stop on this and on May 10 introduced an update to the monitoring application. This update allowed it to impose fines on residents that fail to make a selfie within an hour after the request. Other reasons for fines are changes of the location, the shut off of application or the phone with the installed application (due to any reasons). The fine of 4,000 rubles (53 USD) is imposed for every such incident.
It’s hard to justify this measures by the need to contain the coronavirus outbreak or care about people. The two main possible reasons are vested interest of the local authorities that pump money into the budget and affiliated structures by this way or political games, in which the Sobyanin team is playing to damage actions and policies of President Putin and the federal government.
Reports appeared in Russian social media that Google proposed the Moscow authorities at least 0.5 million USD to promote information regarding the COVID-19 outbreak; in fact, to fuel the hysteria over the situation.
The next big event took place on May 11. President Vladimir Putin announced the work holiday would come to an end. As of May 12, the regime of limitations would gradually be shut down. Vladimir Putin announced this in his address to the Russian citizens at the beginning of meeting with governors. Then he announced a new and unprecedented, for contemporary Russia, packet of measures of support for ordinary citizens and businesses. These decisions were diametrically opposed to the ideas supported by the liberal clan that includes Nabiulina, Sobyanin, Siluanov, and others.
The new support measures include:
All families with children aged 3-15 may receive one-time payments of 10 thousand rubles (133 USD) per child, starting on June 1.
Individual entrepreneurs, small and mid-sized businesses in hard-hit industries as well as socially-oriented non-commercial organizations will have all tax and insurance payments canceled for the second quarter, with the exception of value-added tax.
Self-employed will have their income taxes paid in 2019 refunded. They will also receive “tax capital” at the rate of one minimum-wage annual salary to fulfill tax payments.
At the same time, Putin’s address left the impression of half-measures. It included announcements that governors’ additional coronavirus-related powers were being extended, giving them the ability to raise and reduce restrictions depending on the situation.
However, even that format had the effect of an exploding bomb.
Since May 11, when Putin announced the decision to ease coronavirus restrictions, Russia has become a target of a large-scale international media campaign designed to fuel the coronavirus panic in the country. Western mainstream media and Russian-language media organizations funded by the West or affiliated with it structures and persons released a coordinated series of articles arguing and speculating (with no evidence) that Russia is hiding the real COVID-19 death toll. An overwhelming majority of these articles refers to ‘anonymous sources’ or representatives of the ‘non-system’ Russian opposition (like Alexei Navalny) that seek to gain some hype without any real evidence.
The Russian Foreign Ministry descried these reports as fake news. Nonetheless, the interesting fact is that no article released in the framework of this new anti-Russian campaign criticizes actions of Sobyanin or members of the liberal part of the Russian elites. All of them are aimed against President Putin and the federal government. This campaign goes fully in the framework of the efforts of the Russia-based liberal clans to keep the coronavirus-related restrictions and further. In fact, Russian social media and news media are full of reports revealing that in many cases local authorities insist to add any person with a positive (and in some cases even supposedly positive) SARS-CoV-2 test to the coronavirus death toll.
Right after the president’s meeting with the governors, Tatarstan announced removing the pass regime and destroying all personal data collected.
The government of one of Russia’s key regions also signaled immediate removal of all the main limitations starting on May 12. One should note that the Moscow pass regime was based on Kazan’s experience, with Sobyanin himself closely collaborating with Kazan financial and economic elites. Tatarstan was followed by Bashkiriya and many other regions. The Federal Ministry of Health signaled that 33 regions were ready to remove the restrictions.
Moscow Region Governor Vorobyov, who closely followed the example of Moscow mayor also announced and earlier also announced the quarantine would be НКО extended until May 31, delayed his announcement by four hours. But by 21:20 Moscow time he announced that “due to new demands of the epidemiological legislation the planned construction and production starts are delayed until May 18.” He did not mention the end of May.
It seems that Sobyanin and the liberal team needed a whole day to decide how to proceed. It seems they decided not to change the course of action and instead decided on a collision course with the president, possibly also with the intent of increasing social instability in Moscow. It is difficult to interpret these facts differently.
Interestingly, several unofficial media sources which are nevertheless seen as linked to the presidential administration began to openly accuse Sobyanin of an attempted coup d’etat. Thus the popular Kremlyovskiy Bezbashennik Telegram channel (reportedly linked with former adviser to President Putin -Vladislav Surkov) writes:
“it is entirely correct to write about the consequences of scandalous decisions made by Sobyanin which raise social tensions and which may lead to unrest in Moscow. But these are not mistakes by the mayor and no, he has not lost his mind. It’s all part of the plan being implemented step by step by the Party of Troubles which “Stag” described already at the start of this whole coronavirus bacchanalia. The HQ of the Covid-19 party and its frontman Sobyanin should be happy with the results of the investigation. The battle for Moscow has seen the use of the stratagem of seizure of power through destabilizing the situation an using the “street factor” in order to nullify the Constitution (in other words, the State) and obtain extraordinary powers during social unrest. Therefore as far as Sobyanin is concerned, the worse, the better. They’ll never get another chance to get power”.
If events continue to develop in this way, the last doubts that coronavirus is being deliberately used by certain elite factions in order to achieve certain political and economic objectives will scatter. It looks like that the initial plan of Sobyanin and his colleagues from the liberal clan was to de-facto conduct a creeping seizure of power in the country through the system of digital totalitarianism created under a pretext of the combating coronavirus outbreak. They achieved some successes, but the recent developments demonstrate that apparently this plan has not been 100% effective. The federal government and the Kremlin have realized the threat of the uncontrolled ‘lockdowns’ imposed by the regional authorities and working to compensate the social, administrative and economic damage of these actions.
Furthermore, actions of the Moscow authorities already significantly undermined the trust the Sobyanin team had among Moscow residents and caused a major negative reaction in the social media all across the country. The negative economic, social and medical impact of their actions are an open secret.
Moscow government and allied liberal clans are not about to give up or change their plans. Even modest attempts of the Sobyanin team to turn off the already set course met with a wave of criticism in the media controlled by the so-called liberal bloc. This week, a new media campaign was launched. It claims that Moscow authorities allegedly underestimate mortality from the COVID-19 outbreak.
Moscow risks becoming a center of socio-economic tension and political instability due to Mayor’s Office actions in delaying the gradual removal or weakening of administrative, social, and economic restrictions. Even when they are forced to remove them, Sobyanin’s team will do everything possible to preserve as many powers as possible during the pandemic. This may include the ability to limit the movement of citizens in the capital. In any event, one may confidently predict that the political tension between Moscow and federal authorities will grow. It may enable external forces which are interested in social instability in Russia to further destabilize the situation.
The first signs that something terrible had gone wrong with the security at the Fort Detrick bio-defence facility fifty miles north-west of Washington DC were when cases of a previously unknown and serious respiratory illness appeared at a retirement village on the western outskirts of the capital in July 2019. The first cases were noted on June 30th amongst the 260 residents of the Greenspring Assisted Living unit, with the infectious disease later affecting 19 staff and taking the lives of some older residents.
“The notice that went out on July 10 from Donna L. Epps, an administrator at Greenspring, said several residents had been having symptoms of respiratory illness, including fever, coughing and body aches. Epps’s notice, which says the symptoms recede in about five to seven days with treatment but have caused pneumonia, also announced limits on visitors, enhanced sanitation measures and other steps.”
The story was rapidly picked up, and statements issued to ease concerns:
“– the two patients who died in the outbreak had been hospitalized with pneumonia but were “older individuals with complex medical problems.”
“One of the things about skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities is that when you have a lot of people in close proximity, who have underlying medical conditions, there is an increased risk for outbreaks,” he said. “Seeing a respiratory outbreak in a long-term care facility is not odd. … One thing that’s different about this outbreak is just that it’s occurring in the summer when, usually, we don’t have a lot of respiratory disease.”
The Centre for Disease Control was alerted on July 8th and took samples but “was unable to identify the organism responsible”. As if. Perhaps it was just a sensible precaution to close down the Fort Detrick research facility two weeks later, where infection control mechanisms had previously been suspect.
“The statement said the Center for Disease Control and Prevention decided to issue a “cease and desist order” last month to halt the research at Fort Detrick because the center did not have “sufficient systems in place to decontaminate wastewater” from its highest-security labs.”
While the organisms Fort Detrick conducted research on and with included such lethal ones as Ebola, concerns had been raised back in 2015 about their research on genetically engineered and mutant viruses that posed an unacceptable risk to humans should they escape. This research, known as “gain of function” or GOF had been banned in 2014 by the Obama administration, but some programs appear to have continued, and in November 2015 caused scientists to issue a warning. While this warning has been widely publicised, as well as used to support the theory that SARS-CoV-2 came from a lab and not from nature, the GOF research it referred to, published a little earlier in Nature medicine has had little attention.
This research was a collaborative project between the scientists at the University of Carolina and a team led by “Bat Woman” Shi Zhengli at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. While the research is complex and the motives obscure, there is little doubt that the researchers successfully engineered a “chimaera” which combined a lethal coronavirus from a bat with one capable of easily infecting human cells, and proved its “gain of function” both in vitro and in vivo.

Further information has now come to light on evidence that SARS-CoV-2 was genetically engineered following a detailed scientific study into the genome of the virus. Ironically perhaps, the focus of the anonymous analyst seems to have been to incriminate the Chinese government “communist party” and its research lab in Wuhan. As explained by “GM Watch”, despite this political angle and the suspect anonymity of the unpublished research, the science it presents is very persuasive. Significantly however, they question the analyst’s view that the synthetic virus was designed as a bioweapon, “though it may have been”. They conclude:
“In our view, the evidence presented above shows that there is an urgent need for a credible and independent international investigation into the origins of SARS-CoV-2 and the roles played by Shi Zhengli, the Chinese government, and the US bodies that helped fund the virus research at the WIV, including the National Institutes of Health and the EcoHealth Alliance.”
It may be a surprise for some to learn of US involvement in research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, but it should be a shock to learn how this collaboration came about and who was involved. As recently revealed in the mainstream publication Newsweek, America’s high-profile scientific expert Dr Anthony Fauci strongly supported GOF research, and following the ban in the US was involved in funding a similar project in Wuhan. That five-year project ended in 2019 and was extended:
“A second phase of the project, beginning that year, included additional surveillance work but also gain-of-function research for the purpose of understanding how bat coronaviruses could mutate to attack humans. The project was run by EcoHealth Alliance, a non-profit research group, under the direction of President Peter Daszak, an expert on disease ecology. NIH canceled the project just this past Friday, April 24th, Politico reported. Daszak did not immediately respond to Newsweek requests for comment.”
Newsweek notes that Dr. Fauci also did not respond to their requests, and other media didn’t pick up the story. But:
“according to Richard Ebright, an infectious disease expert at Rutgers University, the project description refers to experiments that would enhance the ability of bat coronavirus to infect human cells and laboratory animals using techniques of genetic engineering. In the wake of the pandemic, that is a noteworthy detail.
Ebright, along with many other scientists, has been a vocal opponent of gain-of-function research because of the risk it presents of creating a pandemic through accidental release from a lab.”
As well as supporting GOF research, for reasons described by Newsweek, Dr. Fauci was renowned for his work on HIV, and more recently on bird flu viruses. He also was involved in the development of Remdesevir, which he has recently promoted as a treatment for COVID-19 cases despite little evidence for its efficacy, in contrast to the widely used Hydroxychloroquine favored by the US President – and many others around the world.
But the treatment or consequences of the release of this novel Coronavirus are not my concern at this crucial junction point – or rather disjunction point – in history.
Having concluded some time ago that the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus was most probably the bio-insecure facility at Fort Detrick, the one question that remained unanswered was how and why it appeared in Wuhan, and what happened in the months before it was first identified there.
A number of impossibly unlikely coincidences led to that conclusion, in particular the first detected appearance of the virus in the hotel where US soldiers stayed during the World Military Games, held between October 18th and 27th 2019 in Wuhan. Coincidentally and indicatively also, a “novel Coronavirus” pandemic simulation exercise was held in New York on the very day the games began, sponsored by and involving some key actors in the health and pharmaceutical industry, as well as significant international experts.
The apparent suppression of reporting on “Event 201” in the mainstream media has led observers to interpret this pandemic rehearsal in the way that other coincidental exercises have been – as further evidence of “conspiracy”. The involvement of CEPI director Jane Halton in Event 201 is the most indicative of these coincidences, given the role Australia is playing in pushing for an “inquiry” targeting China, and Halton’s role in the National Coronavirus Coordination committee.
It is instructive to read the recommendations issued following the Event 201 exercise, particularly on the development of public-private partnerships and on the control of false information in the media, as this is reflected in the control of the “COVID-19 Pandemic” narrative here in Australia.
Although there is a divergence of opinion on how to treat the escalating conflict with China, particularly following the Chinese Government’s actions on food imports from Australia, no-one in the Government, Opposition, think tanks or media is saying that China is not to blame for the pandemic, in some way or another. Influential commentators, as well as union leaders, are portraying the dispute as a choice between taking China’s money or protecting our sovereignty, a position that is both idiotic and mistaken, ignoring the reality of our dependence on Chinese exports and imports.
Australians may not be able to see it, but for the Chinese foreign ministry it is crystal clear – that Australia’s proposals and actions are in no-ones interest, except America’s.
Until now the situation appeared paradoxical. Concluding that the US had intentionally introduced the novel Coronavirus into Wuhan made little sense, given the inevitable blowback. Four months on it is the US which has suffered worst from the Coronavirus Pandemic, while China is restarting its temporarily disabled economy after successfully suppressing the epidemic in Wuhan. Barring some of the wilder conspiracy theories that might see a benefit for some elites and vested interests in health and security in the chaos induced by the lock-downs, the question of “cui bono” remained unanswered, until now.
Some of the US soldiers in the team sent to Wuhan for the games reportedly fell ill and even went to hospital, but it now appears that athletes in teams from other countries were infected by contact with them. Two French athletes recently reported having suffered a strange respiratory illness after returning home from Wuhan, which they now realize was very probably CV19. Apparently similar cases have been reported in athletes from other teams who participated in the Wuhan games, with Luxemburg and Sweden cited in this report. A more recent but still early appearance of a distinct strain of the virus in France suggests an origin in those early cases from Wuhan. The distinct and early outbreaks in Italy and Iran may well have also originated similarly from returning athletes.
So now the possibility arises that far from the Wuhan Military Games being the point where the novel Coronavirus was introduced into China, they were the point from which the infection fanned out across the world, potentially to all the countries participating in the Games. Except for one.
As with Italy and France, they were early reports of an unusually severe pneumonia occurring in the US in December and November, but with cases mistaken for influenza at that time of year, except by the CDC, which recognized the infection as “COVID 19” but kept quiet about it until questioned in senate hearings. Unsurprisingly, China picked up on this admission from the CDC, asking the question to which we now have the answer – “where was your patient zero?”.
Perhaps they may also be considering a new “conspiracy theory” following the revelation of the July outbreak at Greensprings retirement village. This would be my suggestion:
To say that the escape of the Coronavirus Genie from Fort Detrick was a monumental disaster looming for the US health system and for the economy is a gross understatement. As we can see from the way the world has been turned upside down by the chaotic response to the pandemic, being held responsible for this long predicted catastrophe could bring the world down on you. So rather than admit to the viral Genie’s escape and the total failure of the Centre for Disease Control to control this unknown and deadly disease, they had to come up with a plan.
Because of the collaboration with Wuhan on GOF research and the presence of similar or identical viruses at the WIV, a scheme might be devised to plant the infection in the centre of the city and lay the blame for the subsequent predicted pandemic on China. When the virus later reached the US, its already established presence there would be effectively concealed, at least from the public. Concealing such things from epidemiologists and virologists is clearly harder, and it has been noted that while cases in Washington State are closely related to the Wuhan strain, those in New York are not. (It has also been reported that Italy has requested the exhumation of bodies in the US following suspicions on the origins of the Italian outbreak; the US has so far refused.)
I propose that the scheme devised in desperation last summer for this “diversionary tactic”, was to send the Fort Detrick Virus with the soldiers set to compete at the Wuhan games in three months’ time, while trying to keep a lid on the domestic epidemic until the new year, and a lock on the inquisitive media. Rehearsing for the subsequent global pandemic called for “Event 201” to prepare participants for what they might have to face, and bring their organizational and media responses into line. Shi Zhengli’s presence in Wuhan also looks to be an important part of this US operation, with stories about her work with Horseshoe Bats, and her recent insistence on the natural origins of the Virus playing a vital role in the cyber-warfare side of the operation. Given Zhengli’s role in the controversial genetic engineering research project in 2015, those stories are clearly vital disinformation.
Whether this theory is the correct one may not yet be proven, but it does provide an explanation to the conundrum of the genie that was accidentally released from the bottle but intentionally released from Wuhan. And we must all now suffer the consequences of that US “culpable manslaughter” as we learn to live with their engineered Genie. Just don’t take it out on China.
Dear friends, during the past 2 weeks, there were signals of the growing confrontation between Hayat Tahrir al-Sham as well as the intensifying coordination between Turkey and Russia in Greater Idlib.
The region of Greater Idlib remains the main source of tensions in Syria.
The March 5th ceasefire deal reached by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow allowed an end to be made to the open military confrontation between the Turkish Armed Forces and the Syrian Army. However, as of mid-April, the main provisions of the deal have yet to be implemented. Members of al-Qaeda-linked groups still enjoy freedom of movement across Greater Idlib and keep their positions with weapons and heavy equipment in southern Idlib.
The safe zone along the M4 highway, the creation of which was agreed, has not been created. All Russian-Turkish joint patrols have been conducted in a limited area west of Saraqib and have just been a public move needed to demonstrate that the de-escalation deal is still in force.
Ankara turns a blind eye to regular ceasefire violations and other provocative actions by militant groups and their supporters. Additionally, it has continued its military buildup in Idlib. The number of Turkish troops in the region reportedly reached 7,000, while the number of so-called ‘observation posts’ exceeded 50. Meanwhile, Turkish-affiliated media outlets ramped up a propaganda campaign accusing the Assad government of killing civilians, of ceasefire violations, of using chemical weapons and of discrediting the de-escalation agreement by calling it the surrender of the goals of the so-called Syrian revolution.
On the diplomatic level, neither Turkey nor Russia demonstrate open antagonism, but statements coming from the top military and political leadership of Turkey regarding the conflict in Syria demonstrate that Ankara is not planning to abandon its expansionist plans or aggressive posture towards the country.
These factors set up a pretext for and increase the chances of a new military escalation in Idlib. However, this time the conflict is likely to lead to at least a limited military confrontation between the Turkish and Russian militaries. Both sides have troops deployed in close proximity to the frontline, including the expected hot point of the future escalation – Saraqib.
Possible phases of escalation are the following:
Without the full implementation of the Moscow de-escalation deal and neutralization of radicals, the military situation in southern and eastern Idlib will continue to deteriorate. Militants, inspired by their impunity and the direct protection of the Turkish Army, will increase their attacks on the positions of Syrian forces and their Russian and Iranian allies. These attacks will gradually increase in scale until they provoke a painful military response from the Syrian Armed Forces. Militants, surprised at this blatant ceasefire violation by the bloody Assad regime, will continue their attacks, now justifying them by the right of self-defense. G_4 (A) Turkish diplomats and media outlets will immediately accuse the Assad government of violating the word and spirit of the de-escalation deal and will claim that the “unjustified aggression of the regime”, which is supported by the Russians, led to the killing of dozens of civilians and will film several staged tear-jerkers from Idlib to support this. The so-called ‘international community’ led by the Washington establishment and EU bureaucrats will denounce the aggression of the Assad regime and its backers.
In the face of the continued and increased attacks from Idlib armed groups, the Syrian Army will have two options:
To retreat from their positions and leave the hard-won, liberated areas to the mercy of Turkey and its al-Qaeda-affiliated groups;
To answer the increased attacks with overwhelming force and put an end to the ceasefire violations by radicals.
It’s likely that the Syrians will choose the second option. The military standoff in Idlib will officially re-enter a hot phase. The previous years of conflict have demonstrated that militants cannot match Syrian troops in open battle. Therefore, if the Turkish leadership wants to hold on to its expansionist plans, it will have no choice but to intervene in the battle to rescue its proteges. Syria and Turkey will once again find themselves in a state of open military confrontation.
As in previous escalations, the Turkish military will likely opt to start its military campaign with massive artillery and drone strikes on positions of the Syrian Army along the contact line in southeastern Idlib and western Aleppo. Special attention will be paid to the area of the expected confrontation between Syrian troops and Turkish proxies: the countryside of Saraqib, Maarat al-Numan and Kafr Nabel. Turkish forces will not be able to stop the Syrian Army advance without taking massive fire damage to their infrastructure and to the forces deployed in these areas. Such strikes will also result in further escalation because they will pose a direct danger to the Russian Military Police in Saraqib and Maarat al-Numan, and to Russian military advisers embedded with the Syrian units, which are deployed in southeastern Idlib.
If Turkish strikes target Russian positions and lead to notable losses among Russian personnel, Moscow will be put in a situation where they will be forced to retaliate. Since the start of the military operation in Syria in September 2015, the Russian Armed Forces have concentrated a capable military group in the country protected by short- and long-range air defense systems and reinforced by Bastion-P coastal defense and Iskander-M ballistic missile systems. Additionally, the Russian Black Sea and Caspian Fleets and Russian long-range aviation have repeatedly demonstrated that they are capable of destroying any target on the Syrian battleground and thus also in any nearby areas.
The Russian retaliatory strike will likely target Turkish military columns in close proximity to the frontline as well as Turkish depots, positions of artillery, armoured vehicles, and material and technical support points in Greater Idlib.
If, after the Russian strike, the Turkish leadership does not halt its aggressive actions and its forces continue attacks on Russian and Syrian positions in Syria, the escalation will develop further.
The second wave of Russian retaliatory strikes will target Turkish military infrastructure along the border with Syria. HQs and logistical hubs in the province of Hatay, which were used to command and supply its Operation Spring Shield, will immediately be destroyed. The decision to deliver strikes on other targets along the border will depend on the success of Turkish forces in their expected attempt to attack Russia’s Hmeimim airbase and put it out of service.
Another factor to consider is that should Turkey appear to be too successful in their attack on the Hmeimim airbase, they risk losing their entire Black Sea fleet. While theoretically the Turkish naval forces deployed in the Black Sea are superior to the Russian ones in numbers, the real balance of power there tells a different story. The combined means and facilities of the Russian Black Sea fleet, the Caspian Sea fleet, air forces and coastal defense forces deployed in the region would allow Moscow to overwhelm and sink the entire Turkish Navy. On top of this, Russia, unlike Turkey, is a nuclear power.
Turkey’s NATO allies have already demonstrated that they are not planning to risk their equipment or personnel in order to support Erdogan’s Syrian adventure. Furthermore, a new round of complaints to the UN or demonstrative sanctions will be no help to any destroyed Turkish airbases or to a fleet resting deep underwater.
Ankara will have to find a diplomatic way to de-escalate the confrontation before it gets to this point. The format of this diplomatic solution and the consequences, which Turkey will have to suffer for its military adventure, will depend only on the moment, when the Erdogan government understands that it’s time to stop.
سورية رئيساً وقيادة وجيشاً وشعباً، ومع حلفائها حقّقت نصراً مؤزراً بمواجهة الحرب الكونية التي تُشنُّ عليها منذ أكثر من تسع سنوات، ومسار هذا النصر الكبير لن يهتزّ بالحملاتِ السياسية والنفسيةِ ولا بالعقوباتِ الاقتصاديةِ التي تُفرضُ على سورية وعلى حلفائها، وكل ما نحتاجه هو المزيد من الصمود. وهذا ما حرص أمين عام حزب الله سماحة السيد حسن نصر الله على تأكيده في ذكرى استشهاد القائد السيد مصطفى بدر الدين.
لقد قارب السيد نصرالله في كلمته المسألة السورية منذ بداياتها والمراحل التي مرّت بها، ناسفاً كلّ الأباطيل والأقاويل والترّهات، ومؤكداً وحدة محور المقاومة وتماسكه وتمسّكه بتعزيز انتصارات سورية القلعة الصامدة بوجه المشاريع الأميركية ـ الصهيونية، ومشدّداً على أن سورية استطاعت أن تنتصر في الحرب بفضل صمود قيادتها وجيشها وشعبها وثبات حلفائها إلى جانبها، ولافتاً إلى أن كل الكلام عن تخلّي الحلفاء عنها هو مجرد أحلام ولا أساس له من الصحة.
وقوف محور المقاومة إلى جانب سورية هدفه الحفاظ على استقلالها وسيادتها ودعم قراراتها وثباتها في وجه مخططات الهيمنة الأميركية «الإسرائيلية»، هذا ما شدّد عليه السيد، محذّراً قادة العدو «الإسرائيلي» من أي حماقةٍ أو خطأ في الحساباتِ، وموضحاً أنه في عام 2011 بدأ المخطط الأميركي ـ «الإسرائيلي» ـ السعودي التآمري لاستهداف سورية نظراً لموقعها في الصراع مع العدو «الإسرائيلي» وموقفها من القضية الفلسطينية، والهدف الأساسي كان إضعافها ودفعها للتخلي عن فلسطين والجولان السوري المحتلّ.
أما عن العلاقة السورية اللبنانية، فلا يجوز أن يستمر الوضع القائم مع سورية على ما هو عليه بسبب عداوات ورهانات سياسية خاسرة وخاطئة عند عدد من القوى السياسية اللبنانية، لذا أكد السيد أن ترتيب هذا الوضع يفتح باباً مهماً جداً للوضع الاقتصادي اللبناني، داعياً إلى المسارعة في ترتيب العلاقة مع سورية لفتح الحدود والمعابر وإحياء القطاعات الإنتاجية، خصوصاً أنّ هناك جهوزية سورية بدرجة عالية، في حين أنّ التعطيل والتأخير والمماطلة هي عند الجانب اللبناني، علماً أنّ مَن يفكر بمصلحة الشعب اللبناني يجب أن يتجاوز الاعتبارات الدولية والاقليمية لأنها لن تُطعم اللبنانيين خبزاً .
في كلّ إطلالة لسماحة السيد حسن نصرالله، يتجلّى بوضوح بأنّه صورة لكلامه الصادق المؤمن بالله وشعبه وقضايا أمّته، فهو يقاوم من أجل قضية عادلة ورسالة.. إنه قائد تاريخي بإمتياز.
Bill Gates — who invests in the same industries he gives charitable donations to, and who promotes a global public health agenda that benefits the companies he’s invested in — has gone on record saying life will not go back to normal until we have the ability to vaccinate the entire global population against COVID-19.1
To that end, he is pushing for disease surveillance and a vaccine tracking system2 that might involve embedding vaccination records on our bodies. One example of how this might be done is using an invisible ink quantum dot tattoo, described in a December 18, 2019, Science Translational Medicine paper.3,4
According to statements made by Gates, societal and financial normalcy may never return to those who refuse vaccination, as the digital vaccination certificate Gates is pushing for might ultimately be required to go about your day-to-day life and business. Without this “digital immunity proof,” you may not even be allowed to travel locally or visit certain public buildings.
Gates has a history of “predicting” global pandemics with vast numbers of deaths,5 and with his call for a tracking system to keep tabs on infected/noninfected and vaccinated/unvaccinated individuals, he’s ensuring an unimaginably profitable future for the vaccine makers he supports and makes money from via his Foundation investments.
Along with Gates, The Rockefeller Foundation is also coordinating efforts in the direction of social control through the implementation of draconian COVID-19 tracking and tracing measures that are clearly meant to become permanent.
National COVID-19 Testing Action Plan
April 21, 2020, The Rockefeller Foundation released a white paper6 titled, “National COVID-19 Testing Action Plan — Strategic Steps to Reopen Our Workplaces and Our Communities.” In the foreword, Rockefeller Foundation president Dr. Rajiv J. Shah writes:
“In the face of an ineffective nationally-coordinated response, insufficient data, and inadequate amounts of protective gear and testing, we need an exit plan. Testing is our way out of this crisis.
Instead of ricocheting between an unsustainable shutdown and a dangerous, uncertain return to normalcy, the United States must mount a sustainable strategy with better tests and contact tracing, and stay the course for as long as it takes to develop a vaccine or cure.
Any plan to do so must win the faith of private and public sector leaders across the country, and of individual Americans that they and their loved ones will be safer when we begin to return to daily life.
The Rockefeller Foundation exists to meet moments like this. In the past two weeks we have brought together experts and leaders from science, industry, academia, public policy, and government — across sectors and political ideologies — to create a clear, pragmatic, data-driven, actionable plan to beat back Covid-19 and get Americans back to work more safely.”
The plan calls for testing and tracing 1 million Americans per week to start, incrementally ramping it up to 3 million and then 30 million per week (the “1-3-30 plan”) over the next six months until the entire population has been covered.
Test results would then be collected on a digital platform capable of tracking all tested individuals so that contact-tracing can be performed when someone tests positive. According to the “National COVID-19 Testing Action Plan”:
“Policy makers and the public must find the balance between privacy concerns and infection control to allow the infection status of most Americans to be accessed and validated in a few required settings and many voluntary ones.”
To this end, they suggest using incentives “to nudge the voluntary use” of tracking and contact tracing apps rather than making them mandatory. They also call for the use of “innovative digital technologies” aimed at improving “workforce monitoring and early detection of recurrent outbreaks.”
“When integrated into national and state surveillance systems, such innovations may enable the same level of outbreak detection with fewer tests.
Promising techniques include anonymous digital tracking of workforces or population-based resting heart-rate and smart thermometer trends; continually updated epidemiological data modeling; and artificial intelligence projections based on clinical and imaging data,” the document states.7
Modern ‘Wartime’ Effort That Will Cost Billions
According to the “National COVID-19 Testing Action Plan”:8
“Monitoring the pandemic and adjusting social distancing measures will require launching the largest public health testing program in American history … The effort will ultimately grow to billions of dollars per month … But with widespread business closures costing the country $350 billion to $400 billion each month, the expense will be worth it.
This testing infrastructure is intended to tide the country over until a vaccine or therapy is widely available.
Coordination of such a massive program should be treated as a wartime effort, with a public/private bipartisan Pandemic Testing Board established to assist and serve as a bridge between local, state, and federal officials with the logistical, investment and political challenges this operation will inevitably face.”
Don’t Be Naïve About Infectious Tracking Plan
Call me jaded, but this sounds like a plan to surveil Americans so that they can easily be tracked down for mandatory vaccination once a COVID-19 vaccine becomes available. It also creates the necessary infrastructure for vaccination tracking across the board, for all vaccines.
While they give lip-service to privacy and anonymization of data, privacy promises have been repeatedly broken in the past. Besides, the document clearly states that:9
“Some privacy concerns must be set aside for an infectious agent as virulent as Covid-19, allowing the infection status of most Americans to be accessed and validated in a few required settings and many voluntary ones.
The loss of privacy engendered by such a system would come at too high of a price if the arrival of a vaccine early next year was a certainty. But vaccine development and manufacture could take years, and when it comes certain populations may be excluded from receiving it for health reasons.
In the meantime, infection status must be known for people to participate in many societal functions. Legislation protecting people from being fired over infection status must be passed.
Those screened must be given a unique patient identification number that would link to information about a patient’s viral, antibody and eventually vaccine status under a system that could easily handshake with other systems to speed the return of normal societal functions.
Schools could link this to attendance lists, large office buildings to employee ID cards, TSA to passenger lists and concert and sports venues to ticket purchasers. Such connections should be made in a way that protects personally identifying information whenever possible … Whenever and wherever possible data should be open.”
Are You Ready to Give Up EVERYTHING Over a Virus?
“Privacy concerns must be set aside.” Infection status must be “accessed and validated in a few required settings.”
Infection status will be linked to schools, office buildings, places of work, airports, concert and sport venues — in other words, most areas people need or want to frequent, if not daily, then at least occasionally. Infection status must be known “for people to participate in societal functions.” Legislation must be passed to protect people from being fired from their jobs based on their infection status. Are you concerned yet?
Anyone who remembers the tactics employed in Nazi Germany, or anyone familiar with the current surveillance of the Chinese population, will realize where this is headed.
Reading through the plan, it should also be crystal clear that this tracking and surveillance program is not designed to be temporary. You can be strongly assured this will be permanent. It calls for hundreds of thousands of new employees, updating computer systems and new laws that in many ways resemble the implementation of TSA post-9/11.
Not addressed in this report is the question of just how often would you have to undergo testing. A negative test today may not be valid tomorrow, if you happen to come across someone who is infected between now and then. Would you have to undergo testing every single day? Once a week?
If regular retesting is not part of the plan, then the whole system is worthless as your infection status could change at any time.
Other questions not addressed: If you happen to be in the vicinity of someone who tests positive in the near future, would you have to quarantine for two weeks? Will your employer pay for that time off? Will you have a job when you come out of quarantine?
What if you quarantine for two weeks but don’t get sick and test negative for antibodies, then go out and happen across yet another person who ends up testing positive shortly thereafter. Will you be forced into quarantine again? Where does it end?
The tracking system The Rockefeller Foundation is calling for is eerily similar to that already being used in China, where residents are required to enroll in a health condition registry. Once enrolled, they get a personal QR code, which they must then enter in order to gain access to grocery stores and other facilities.10
The plan also demands access to other medical data. According to the “National COVID-19 Testing Action Plan”:11
“This infection database must easily interoperate with doctor, hospital and insurance health records in an essential and urgent national program to finally rationalize the disparate and sometimes deliberately isolated electronic medical records systems across the country …
Unfortunately, obtaining the necessary clinical data to bring these powerful analytic tools to bear has been difficult due to information-blocking tactics of electronic health records (EHR) vendors. Among the longtime tactics used by such vendors has been charging unreasonable fees for data access, requiring providers to sign restrictive contracts, and claiming patients’ clinical data is proprietary.
On March 9, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released two long-awaited final rules that would prohibit information blocking in health care and advance more seamless exchange of health care data. But publication in the Federal Register, necessary to activate the rules, has been inexplicably delayed. This delay must end.”
In other words, this plan is far more comprehensive than merely tracking COVID-19 cases. It’s designed to replace the current system of “disparate and sometimes deliberately isolated electronic medical records systems across the country.”
ID2020
While The Rockefeller Foundation’s white paper simply calls for the use of a digital “patient identification number” without indicating exactly how you would carry this ID number on your person, Gates has repeatedly talked about the “need” for some sort of implantable vaccine certificate.
In 1999, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation donated $750 million to set up Gavi, The Vaccine Alliance.12 Gavi, in turn, has partnered with the ID2020 Alliance, along with the Bangladeshi government, to launch a digital identity program called ID2020.13
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation also funded the GSMA Inclusive Tech Lab, launched in 2019, the aim of which is to promote access to digital and biometric identity services and systems.14,15
ID2020, which also launched in 2019, is designed to “leverage immunization as an opportunity to establish digital identity.” This digital identity system is said to carry “far-reaching implications for individuals’ access to services and livelihoods,” so to think that Gates’ call for implantable COVID-19 vaccine certificates would be limited to that alone would again be a grave mistake.
Like The Rockefeller Foundation, Gates is not presenting short-term, temporary measures. They’re both aiming to implement a Worldwide control system. It’s not so far-fetched to imagine a future in which your vaccine certificate or “unique patient ID number” replaces personal identifications such as your driver’s license, state ID card, Social Security card and passport, and is tied not only to your medical records in total, but also your finances.
I remain confident that it would be a tragic mistake to trust Gates, Rockefeller, Google or any of the other players that are being brought before us as the saviors of the day. While most people are well-acquainted with the Rockefeller name, few probably know the true history of the Rockefellers’ rise to power. Those who are ignorant of history are bound to repeat it, and if the Rockefeller story tells us anything, it is that unless we realize what has been done, we’ll be deceived again and again, because the oil oligarchy’s end game is yet to be realized — if we let them.
خسارة الأميركيين لنسبة كبيرة من أوراقهم في الشرق الاوسط تدفع وزير خارجيتهم بومبيو للاستعانة بالوباء الخطير «كورونا» لوقف تقدم الجيش العربي السوري في حربه لتحرير ادلب.
ولم ينسَ حزب الله في لبنان، فقام بالإيعاز لأبواقه المحليّة للمطالبة بقطع الرحلات الجوية بين لبنان وإيران، مستهدفاً العلاقات الأهلية بين البلدين للاستثمار بها في الصراعات السياسيّة الإقليمية واللبنانية.
لجهة ادلب، باغت الجيش العربي السوري التوقعات التركية والخليجية والاسرائيلية التي كانت تراهن على مسألتين: الأولى قوة التنظيمات الارهابية المدعومة من الجيش التركي ومخابراته، وقدرتها على مجابهة أي تقدم للجيش السوري… اما الثانية فهي العلاقات المتحسّنة بين الروس والاتراك اقتصادياً وسياسياً والمتبلورة في تنسيق عسكري في ادلب وشمال سورية وشرقها.
لكن المراهنين على هذه العناصر أصيبوا بإحباط لرؤيتهم التقدم السريع والهائل للجيش العربي السوري في ادلب وارياف حلب، بإسناد روسي جوي مباشر ومشاركة ميدانية وتغطية لهذا الهجوم في وجه الإدانات الأوروبية والأميركية والخليجية.
لقد بدا وزير الخارجية الروسي لافروف متمسكاً بتحرير ادلب بدرجة الحماسة السورية نفسها ذاهباً نحو إدانة تركيا لمماطلتها في تعهداتها بسحب هيئة تحرير الشام من ادلب وارياف حلب منذ 2019.
لقد استخدم الاميركيون كل وسائلهم: أولاً بالإسناد العسكري للارهاب، وتحريض تركيا واستنفار الخليج وتشجيع الاسرائيليين على الإغارة الجوية على اهداف قرب دمشق، كل هذه الحركات لم تجد نفعاً.
فالإرهاب استمر بالتراجع من قرية الى اخرى متخلياً حتى الآن عن المناطق التي كانت محتلة في حلب ونحو نصف منطقة وربما اكثر وسط استمرار هجمات الجيش السوري وتقدمها.
هنا وجد الأميركيون انفسهم امام خطر انهيار الحلف الإرهابي – التركي في ادلب، ما يعني انكشاف احتلالهم لمنطقة «آبار النفط السوري في الشرق والشمال السوريين وقاعدتهم في التنف في الجنوب وهذا يعني احتمال تعرّضهم لعمليات عسكرية من جيش عربي سوري مكلف بتحرير آخر حبة تراب من بلده إنما حسب ظروف المعارك وطبيعتها.
لذلك أطلق الاميركيون اشارات استغاثة للاعلام الغربي والخليجي لتصوير معركة ادلب وكأنها حرب لإبادة المدنيين السوريين.
وبالفعل سارع الأوروبيون بدفع اميركي – تركي الى التحذير من مجازر ضد المدنيين محاولين الاستثمار على جاري العادة الغربية بدماء السوريين. مطالبين بوقف لإطلاق النار بين دولة سورية ذات سيادة وعضو في الأمم المتحدة وبين هيئة تحرير الشام المنظمة الإرهابية المدرجة على لوائح الارهاب في منظمة الامم المتحدة وربما مع جيش تركي يحتل اراضي سورية ويحارب دولتها.
ولم يقف الخليج ايضاً على الحياد في هذه المعركة، على الرغم من أنه معاد للدور التركي، بسبب تحالفه مع الاخوان المسلمين أعداء الخليج ومناهض للدولة السورية في آن معاً.
لذلك كان معتقداً ان بلدان الخليج قد تقف على الحياد لكنها انتقدت الدور التركي، وهاجمت ما اسمته قتل المدنيين على يد الجيش السوري وطالبت بوقف لإطلاق النار، فتماثلت بذلك مع المطالب الاميركية والاوروبية والاسرائيلية.
إلا ان كل هذا التحشيد الاميركي لم يجلب الفائدة المرجوة منه، ما استدعى ضرورة التنقيب الأميركي عن بدائل، فدرسوا موضوع استنهاض تركيا كي تقاتل الجيش السوري حليف الروسي، فوجدوها تنتظرهم للمشاركة معها. وهذا معناه نشوب حرب أميركية – روسية مفتوحة، فاستبعدوا هذا الاحتمال.
وبدا ان الغارات الاسرائيلية غير مفيدة في هذا المجال تماماً كاستنهاض روسيا التي لا تملك الا فنون الاعلام الذي لم تعد أساليبه تنطلي على احد. اما الاستعانة بالخليج فهي مدعاة للفكاهة.
ضمن هذه المعطيات استنجد الأميركيون بصديقهم الوباء الخطير «كورونا»، متهمين إيران بالتسبب بقتل افراد من لبنان وبلدان الخليج وباكستان وافغانستان اصابتهم عدوى انتقلت من أراضٍ ايرانية مجاورة، ولم يكتفوا بهذا القدر، مسددين على مستشارين ايرانيين في سورية قالوا إنهم مصابون بكورونا.
اما جديدهم فهو ما اعلنه بومبيو من خوف على ملايين النازحين السوريين المهددين بالموت جراء الإصابة بهذا الوباء، ولم يوضح الوزير العبقري كيف بإمكان هذا الداء ان ينتقل من مستشارين ايرانيين الى افراد من الجيش العربي السوري وصولاً الى النازحين السوريين الذين يفرون من قرى فيها إرهابيون نحو مناطق يحتلها جيش تركي، بما يؤكد أن كورونا هو آخر سلاح أميركي لمنع تحرير ادلب بعد استنفاد ادوار الإرهاب ومحاصرة الدور التركي.
للاشارة فإن الاميركيين ضغطوا على تركيا والبحرين وباكستان والسعودية لوقف الرحلات الجوية مع ايران وذلك لتضخيم دورها في تصدير كورونا، وكذلك فعلوا مع لبنان وذلك بتكليف القوى المؤيدة لهم باتهام ايران وحزب الله بتصدير كورونا الذي انتقل الى أوروبا وجزء من اميركا وآسيا والشرق الاوسط.
فهل ينقذ «كورونا» النفوذ الأميركي في سورية والعراق ويخنق إيران؟
هذا ما يريده بومبيو، لكن البلدان المستهدفة بشائعات كورونا تعمل على تحصين شعوبها من وباء كورونا ووباء آخر أخطر منه وهو الاستعمار الأميركي الذي يبذل جهوداً جبارة لتجديد شبابه.
When facing mortal danger, its people unite, harden themselves and get ready to face invaders, no matter how threatening they might be.
Iran is home to one of the oldest and deepest cultures in the world, and it’s precisely this culture that helps Iranian people to survive the most frightening moments.
And one such moment is sadly, right now.
US battleships are sailing right next to the Iranian territorial waters. One mistake, one false move, and war could erupt, engulfing the entire region in flames. Iran is a proud nation, and it takes its independence extremely seriously.
Right now, the country is facing one of the most unjust embargos in human history. It is being punished for nothing; or more precisely, for sticking to all the points of the agreement called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) also known as The Iran Nuclear Deal, which it signed in 2015 with China, France, Russia, United Kingdom, United States—plus Germany, and which the United States abandoned, without providing any logical explanation. While not particularly happy about the U.S. withdrawal; Germany, France and U.K. are doing all they can not to anger their senior partner, and its leaders in Washington.
Add COVID-19, and inability of the country, due to sanctions, to buy medical equipment, at least in the West, and you have the perfect scenario for a national calamity and even for imminent collapse.
Or more precisely, anywhere else this would be the case, but not in Iran!
After receiving terrible blows from the West, one after another, Iran has never fallen to its knees. It has never abandoned its internationalist and socialist course (socialist, with Iranian characteristics), and it has preserved its dignity.
What it has managed to achieve is amazing, nothing short of heroic, given the circumstances.
If you look at the latest, 2019 HDI (Human Development Index, compiled and published by the UNDP), Iran is in the High Human Development bracket, and only 3 steps from the Highest Human Development group of countries. Which is thoroughly amazing, given the above-mentioned sanctions, embargos and constant military intimidations.
Whenever I visit Iran, I am astonished by its public spaces, cultural institutions, public transportation, fountains, comfortable trains… The country is functioning well, showing incredible grace under pressure. Its television channel – PressTV – is one of the most important anti-imperialist news outlets in the world. I don’t see extreme misery, or homelessness, there. Iranians are polite, well-educated and proud. They have to deal with complex exchange rates, which I do not understand. Whenever I pay in a café or taxi, I simply extend my hand full of local currency, and I never get cheated. Things are solid and reassuring there; I feel it and really appreciate it.
Iran is an internationalist country. Not unlike Cuba or Venezuela, who are its long-term allies. Even when injured, itself, it helps others, those who need solidarity even more. This can never be forgotten, particularly in places like Latin America, or Syria.
Hezbollah, Iran’s close ally in the Middle East, is fighting the most dangerous terrorist groups in Syria; those groups that have been injected there by the West, but also by Washington’s allies, such as Saudi Arabia and Turkey. But Hezbollah is also essentially the only social net for the poor in Syria’s neighbor – Lebanon. And not only for the Shi’a Muslims, but also for the disadvantaged Sunni citizens, for the Christians, and non-believers. Whoever is destitute in Lebanon, comes to Hezbollah, for assistance. I was based in Beirut for five years, and I know what I am talking about. All this, while the Lebanese elites are burning money in Paris, in Nice, in the nightclubs of Beirut, driving their lavish cars through the slums. And the more Iran and Hezbollah help the region, the more frustrated, outraged and aggressive the West gets.
Look at Palestine. When it comes to the liberation of the Palestinian people from the long and brutal Israeli occupation, the Gulf countries just talk and talk. In the end, some of them side with the West and Israel. The closest, the most determined allies of the long-suffering Palestinian people in the region, are, without doubt, Iran and Syria. That, everybody in the Middle East, knows, and it is only “a secret” to Westerners.
In Afghanistan, particularly in Herat, I witnessed long lines of Afghan people in front of the Iranian consulate. Devastated by the NATO occupation, Afghanistan is in despair, rated as a country with the shortest life expectancy in Asia, and the lowest Human Development Index (HDI) on the Asian continent. Tens of thousands of Afghan people have been traveling to Iran in search of jobs. Without Iran, Herat would most likely starve to death. And now, Iran is searching for ways, (together with China and Russia), how to help Afghanistan to find a political solution, and send the NATO forces packing.
For years, all the Socialist countries of Latin America, could always rely on Iran. Be it Bolivia, before the legitimate government of Evo Morales was overthrown, or Cuba and especially Venezuela. Iran has been building social housing, it was helping with oil technology, and with many other social essentials.
Iraq and Iran, two great nations, in the past brutally pitched against each other by Washington, are once again cooperating, working together. The Western occupation has already thoroughly ruined Iraq (as it has ruined Afghanistan), historically one of the richest countries in the region. However, more positively Iran gets involved in neighboring Iraq, the more aggressively the West behaves. It now habitually crosses all the lines of acceptable behavior. In January 2020, a U.S. drone strike murdered Iran’s national hero, General Quasem Soleimani, while he was traveling right near the Baghdad International Airport.
For years now, Iran has been standing shoulder to shoulder with Russia, China, Syria, Venezuela and Cuba; the nations which are openly and bravely deterring the aggression and brutality of Western imperialism.
It seems that no matter what the West tries to do, Iran cannot be broken. Despite the embargos and sanctions, it demonstrates that it is capable of producing and shooting satellites into space, or of producing its own medical equipment to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. While the nation creates its great scientific and technological achievements, Iranian filmmakers keep producing their cinematic masterpieces. What a nation!
Unfortunately, all this is hidden from the eyes and ears of the public, both in the West, and in the client states. There, Iran is portrayed as a “threat”.
Look at this irony. On April 30, 2020, Reuters released a report about the German move to ban Hezbollah:
“Last December, Germany’s parliament approved a motion urging Chancellor Angela Merkel’s government to ban all activities by Hezbollah on German soil, citing its “terrorist activities” especially in Syria.
On a trip to Berlin last year, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said he hoped Germany would follow Britain in banning Hezbollah. Britain introduced legislation in February of last year that classified Hezbollah as a terrorist organization.”
When the West says “Terrorist activities, especially in Syria”, what it really means is “fighting the terrorism injected by the West and its allies, into Syria”. Everything is twisted, perverted and turned upside-down by the propaganda outlets operating out of the United States, Europe, Israel and the Gulf.
“Terrorist activities” outside Syria, also means supporting the Palestinian struggle for independence, as well as at least moral support for Syria, in its attempts to regain the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, an occupation which has never been recognized, even by the United Nations. It also means helping Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as Latin American countries, which are brutalized (or should we say ‘terrorized’), relentlessly, by Washington and its allies.
This is precisely the logic and lexicon which was used by German propagandists during WWII, to describe resistance forces in its colonies. Freedom fighters and partisans were labeled as terrorists, in France, Yugoslavia, Ukraine.
Even the otherwise mainstream newspaper – The Independent – published on May 1, 2020 a report critical of the bizarre US scheming against Iran:
“The United States is pushing ahead with a scheme to extend a United Nations arms embargo on Iran that is due to be lifted in October as part of the nuclear deal that Washington abandoned two years ago.
To force the extension, Washington will attempt to lobby the Security Council to continue the arms embargo, which bars weapons sales to or from Iran.
But it also is making what legal experts and diplomats describe as a convoluted argument that it is still part of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action it left, and hence able to use one of its provisions to “snapback” the embargo.”
This weird political somersault has been, according to The Independent, criticized even by one of Washington’s allies, the French President Emmanuel Macron:
“China and Russia have already vowed to use any means to block the US plan. France’s Emmanuel Macron has been working behind the scenes to sabotage the Trump scheme because of what it sees as an attempt by the White House to destroy international legal norms, said a well-placed European diplomat.”
France, the UK, Germany and other EU countries are not necessarily happy with Washington’s foreign policy towards Iran, but their outrage is far from being moral indignation. Iran is big and it is far from being poor. European companies are losing billions of euros in trade, because of the sanctions. For instance, in the recent past, two Iranian airlines were ready to purchase large numbers of brand-new Airbus aircraft, in order to compete with Qatar Airways and the Emirates. Such plans collapsed, because of the US withdrawal from the JCPOA, and the almost immediate imposition of new, senseless but brutal sanctions against Teheran. Now even Mahan Air, a civilian airline, is facing sanctions, allegedly because of its flights to Venezuela, and to several Middle Eastern destinations.
Now, many are perhaps wondering, what triggered, in the West, such hate towards Iran?
There is a well-hidden (again, in the West) secret regarding Iran: “It is a Socialist country. Socialist with Iranian characteristics.”
In his latest and by all means ground-breaking book about Iran (“Socialism’s Ignored Success: Iranian Islamic Socialism”), which our publishing house Badak Merah will be publishing later in May 2020, an Iranian author and the PressTV Paris chief correspondent, Ramin Mazaheri, passionately defends the Iranian socialist concept:
“I think that if open-minded leftists would simply become aware of the facts and… modern socialist interpretations of Iran’s policies – many of which I’m sure are being presented in English for the first time – I’m sure that they would not be waiting breathlessly for the collapse of the Middle East’s greatest bulwark against imperialism and capitalism.
It is urgent that Western leftists understand that the reversal of Iran’s popular, democratic revolution would have incredibly negative ramifications for the anti-imperialist movement in the Middle East, and thus the global anti-imperialist movement, and it certainly would be the cruelest loss for Islamic Socialism, which is taken quite seriously in the Muslim world even if atheistic Trotskyism cannot even discuss the concept without resorting to insults.
And, of course, a counter-revolution in Iran would be a major blow for global democracy, as there is no doubt that the Iranian People support their revolution, constitution and unique system in a democratic majority.”
Like Russia and China in Euro Asia and in Asia, like Venezuela, Cuba and before the coup, Bolivia, Iran is spreading hope and revolutionary optimism in its entire part of the world. And it is an extremely wounded part of the world, where hope is absent, but desperately needed.
Spreading hope – that is never forgiven by the Western empire, which, like some gigantic and sadistic prison warden, constantly demands submission, while spreading depression and fear.
In the entirety of modern history, Iran has never invaded, never attacked anyone. Iran is a peaceful nation. But at the same time, it is a powerful, brave and proud country.
The United States and its turbo-capitalist regime understand brutal force, only. They do not comprehend, do not appreciate cultural nuances, let alone depth. Pity! There is so much to learn from Iran and its culture.
Iran will not attack anyone, that is clear as is proven by history. But if physically confronted, it will defend itself, and its people. It will fight, well and bravely.
The West should know: if it triggers a war with Iran, the entire Middle East will be consumed by terrible fire.
Israel’s external spy organization Mossad and its internal espionage equivalent Shin Bet have reputations that are much larger than their actual successes, but the one area where they have excelled is electronic intelligence gathering. Recent electronic spying around the White House and other federal buildings in Washington carried out by the Israeli Embassy demonstrates that Israel does not differentiate much between friends and enemies when it conducts espionage. In fact, spying targeting the U.S. is probably its number one priority due to the fact that the Jewish state is so heavily dependent on American support that it feels compelled to learn what discussions relating to it are taking place behind closed doors.
Israeli penetration of U.S. telecommunications began in the 1990s, when American companies like AT&T and Verizon, the chief conduits of the National Security Agency (NSA) for communications surveillance, began to use Israeli-produced hardware, particularly for law enforcement-related surveillance and clandestine recording. The devices had a so-called back door, which meant that everything they did was shared with Israel. Israeli cyber-specialists even broke into classified networks with the NSA and FBI aware of what was going on but unwilling to confront “America’s best ally.” President Bill Clinton once quipped to Monica Lewinski that they should avoid using the Oval Office phone because someone might be listening in. He was referring to Israel.
To be sure, the Jewish state’s high-tech sector has been much assisted in its effort by “own goals” provided by the United States, which allows Israel to bid on government contracts relating to national security, virtually guaranteeing that any technical innovations will be stolen and re-exported by Israeli high-tech companies. Major technology innovators like Intel, which works with the NSA, have set up shop in Israel and have publicly stated, “We think of ourselves as an Israeli company as much as a U.S. company.” Vulture capitalist Zionist billionaire Paul Singer has recently been accused of steering highly paid U.S. tech sector jobs to Israel, jobs that are lost to the American economy forever.
So, Israel is a leader in using electronic resources to carry out espionage and collect information on various targets of interest. Israel is also an innovator, and its close relationship with the U.S. intelligence community (IC), most particularly the NSA, means that technologies and procedures developed by the Jewish state will inevitably show up in America.
The U.S. is in any event working hard on its own tools for managing the public, spurred by Covid-19 hysteria. Special ID cards could help track the health status of individuals. This status would be recorded and updated on a chip readable by government scanners that, by some accounts, might be either carried or even permanently embedded in everyone’s body. Another plan being promoted in a joint venture by Apple and Google that appears to have White House support involves “add[ing] technology to their smartphone platforms that will alert users if they have come into contact with a person with Covid-19. People must opt into the system, but it has the potential to monitor about a third of the world’s population” with monitoring done by central computers. Once the legal principle is established that phones can be manipulated to do what is now an “illegal search,” there are no technical or practical limits to what other tasks could also be performed.
Developments in Israel
With those steps being taken to control the movements of possibly infected citizens in mind, some recent developments in Israel are, to put it mildly, ominous. The Jewish state is currently achieving multi-level 24/7 surveillance of everyone residing in the country conducted in real time. Investigative reporter and peace activist Richard Silverstein describes in some detail why it is happening now, what it means, and how it works.
Per Silverstein, Israel, like every other authoritarian state, is currently taking advantage of the distraction caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose political fortunes seemed to be on the wane due to three hung elections, exploited the fear of the virus to assume emergency powers and obtain Knesset approval to use a highly classified national database “compiled by the Shin Bet and comprising private personal data on every Israeli citizen, both Jewish and Palestinian. In the aftermath of 9/11, Israel’s Knesset secretly assigned its domestic intelligence agency the task of creating the database, which was ostensibly meant as a counterterrorism measure.”
The database, nicknamed “The Tool,” includes names, addresses, phone numbers, employment, and educational information but it goes well beyond that in using phone tracking data to record every phone call made by the individual to include names and numbers of those called and the geo-location of where the call was made from. Phone tracking also enabled Shin Bet to create a log of where the caller traveled in Israel and the occupied territories. Internet use, if active on the phone, was also recorded. It is as complete and total surveillance of an individual as is possible to obtain and it does not involve any human participation at all, every bit of it being done by computer.
Netanyahu publicly proclaimed his intention to use the database, stating that it would be employed to combat the coronavirus, which he described as a threat to national survival. As a result of the claimed crisis, he and his principal opponent, Blue and White party leader Benny Gantz, were able to come to terms on April 20 to form a “national emergency unity government” with Netanyahu as prime minister yet again.
The exploitation of the fear of the virus plus that revelation about Israel’s powerful technical tool to thwart it produced a victory for Netanyahu, who effectively portrayed himself as a strong and indispensable leader, erasing the stigma resulting from his pending trial on charges of massive corruption while in office. One of the first steps Netanyahu will reportedly take is to replace the attorney general and state prosecutor who were seeking to send him to prison, effectively taking away the threat that he might go to prison.
The exposure of the existence of the database inevitably led to charges that Netanyahu had, for personal gain, revealed Israel’s most powerful counterterrorism weapon. There were also concerns about the significance of the huge body of personal information collected by Shin Bet, to include suggestions that it constituted a gross violation of civil liberties. But carefully stoked fear of the virus combined with some political deals and maneuvers meant that use of the data was eventually approved by the Knesset security committee at the end of March.
Israel, which has closed its borders, and which still has a relatively low level of coronavirus infections and deaths, has already started using the Shin Bet database while also turning the attempts to deal with the disease as something like an intelligence war. The information obtained from “The Tool” enables the police and military to determine if someone were standing near someone else for more than a few minutes. If the contact included someone already infected, all parties are placed under quarantine. Any attempt to evade controls leads to arrest and punishment of a six-month prison term plus a $1,500 fine. Armed soldiers patrolling the streets are empowered to question anyone who is out and about.
Mossad is also involved in fighting the virus, boasting of having “stolen” 100,000 face masks and also respirators from a neighboring country presumed to be the United Arab Emirates. Silverstein observes that “Israel’s far-right government has militarized the contagion. Just as a hammer never met a nail it didn’t want to pound, it is only natural for a national security state like Israel to see Covid-19 as a security threat just as much or more than a health threat.” And when it comes to bioweapons, Israel is no parvenu. Ironically, the hidden story behind the “war on the coronavirus” is that Israel is itself one of the most advanced states in developing and testing biological weapons at its lab at Nes Tziona.
Returning to the emergence of “The Tool,” hardline Defense Minister Naftali Bennett has also suggested monetizing the product by selling a “civilian version of it,” to include its operating system, analytic capabilities, and setup details to foreign countries, including the United States. Israel has already successfully marketed to security agencies and governments a similar product called Pegasus, which has been described as the most sophisticated malware on the market.
Like The Tool, Pegasus does data mining and real-time analysis of individuals based on a range of collection techniques. The Israeli cyber company NSO Group that markets Pegasus was recently involved in an attempt to hack Facebook-owned secure communications system Whats-App, targeting journalists and political activists, on behalf of an unknown client. Ironically, it is believed that Facebook had earlier used NSO Group’s somewhat shadowy services. Perhaps more notoriously, Pegasus was also used to monitor contacts and establish physical location in the case of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, who was murdered by Saudi intelligence agents in Istanbul.
So, Americans should beware when confronted by the new cyber-security software being promoted by Israel because the Jewish state is also exporting its own vision of a centrally controlled militarized state where all rights are potentially sacrificed for security. As whistleblower Edward Snowden has already revealed, the NSA has the capability to collect vast amounts of information on citizens. If the United States government falls for the bait and moves in the Israeli direction, using that data to enable the surveillance and manage all the people all the time, the temptation will be great to employ the new capability even if its use is not strictly speaking warranted.
And there will be no one there to say nay to the new powers, not in Congress, on the Supreme Court or in the White House. And the media will be on board, too, arguing that security against external and internal threats requires some infringements of individual rights. It is one of the ironies of history that the United States of America, with its vast resources, large population and legacy of individual freedom, has been becoming more like its tiny militarized client state Israel. It is a tendency that must be resisted at all costs by every American who cares about fundamental liberties.

إن ظروف «موت» السفير الصيني (58 عاماً)، ما زالت غير واضحة ومبهمة ومريبة حتى الآن، رغم البيانات الإسرائيليّة الرسمية!
عُيّن دو واي سفيراً في الكيان في أوج جائحة كورونا، وكان عمل قبل ذلك سفيراً للصين في أوكرانيا.
الكيان الصهيوني ادّعى في بيان رسميّ لة بأنّ السفير مات في نومه…!
لا شك في أن البيان، الصادر عن الجهات الإسرائيلية المسؤولة عن التحقيق الجنائي، الذي فتح، لكشف ملابسات وفاة السفير الصيني، دو واي ( Du Wei )، الذي عثر علية متوفياً في شقتة في هرتسيليا، شمال تل ابيب، يثير الكثير من الشكوك وبيان سلطات تل ابيب زاد في ريبة الواقعة بدلاً من إلقاء الضوء على أسباب الوفاة الحقيقية، وذلك للأسباب التالية:

ـ إن المدة الزمنيّة التي أعقبت الوفاة غير كافية إطلاقاً لإجراء التحقيق المهني المتكامل وإجراء التحقيقات والفحوص الطبية اللازمة، بما في ذلك تشريح جثمان المغدور، للوقوف على أسباب الوفاة الحقيقيّة وليس للخروج ببيان باهت وبائس يدّعي أن سبب الوفاة هو السكتة القلبية.

ـ إن البيان صادر عن جهات حكومية إسرائيلية، من دون مشاركة أي جهة رسمية صيني، لا في التحقيقات ولا في فحوص الطب الشرعي، التي هي الوسيلة الوحيدة لتحديد أسباب وفاة أي إنسان بطريقة علميّة موثوقة ومُوَثَقَةً، وهذا لم يحصل.
وعليه فإن ما صدر عن السلطات الإسرائيلية حتى الآن لا يمكن التعامل معه سوى في اطار الاقاويل او التسريبات الصحافية، التي تمّت فبركتها من قبل جهات امنية، خدمةً لهدف واضح، الا وهو إخفاء السبب الحقيقي وراء وفاة المغدور.

ـ علماً أنّ هناك المزيد من عناصر الشك في الرواية الإسرائيلية والتي يعزّزها التاريخ الدبلوماسي للسفير المغدور ومواقفه المبدئيّة والمدافعة عن حقوق بلاده، جمهوريّة الصين الشعبيّة، في كل المجالات وتصدّيه الدائم لسياسات واشنطن المعادية للصين.
إذ إن تصدّيه، قبل أيام، وعبر تغريدة على تويتر، نشرت على موقع سفارة الصين في تل أبيب، ردّ فيها على تصريحات وزير الخارجية الأميركيّ الوقحة ضد سياسة الصين الاستثمارية في «إسرائيل»، حيث ادعى بومبيو ان الصين تقوم بشراء «إسرائيل» بشكل ممنهج، نقول إن تصدي السفير الصيني هذا، لسياسات واشنطن العدائية تجاه بكين، لم يكن موقفه الأول.

ـ فقد كان للسفير دو واي، الذي عمل سفيراً لبلاده في أوكرانيا من شهر 6/2016 وحتى نهاية عام 2019، نقل أنه كانت له نفس المواقف الدبلوماسية الدقيقة والثابتة والمعبرة عن مصالح بلاده، عندما انتقدت الإدارة الأميركية والعديد من المسؤولين الاميركيين، قيام شركةBeijing Skyrizon Aviation الصينية، في أواخر سنة 2017 بشراء حصة، بلغت 41 % من مصانع SICH الأوكرانية العملاقة، للصناعات الجوفضائية، وهي إحدى أهم مصانع محركات الطائرات العملاقة في العالم، مثل طائرات انطونوف / 124 / وشقيقتها الكبرى انطونوف / 225 / والتي تبلغ حمولتها 400 طن، الى جانب صناعة محركات الغاز العملاقة الخاصة بتشغيل محطات توليد الكهرباء.

ـ كان للسفير المغدور دور حساس وهام جداً في التصدي للحملة الاميركية، ضد الصين، وفي التصدي للضغوط والتهديدات الأميركية لحكومة كييف، التي خضعت في نهاية المطاف لتلك الضغوط وقامت بتجميد الصفقة، مع الشركة الصينية.
إلا أن الجهود الصينية، الدبلوماسية والتجارية التي قادها السفير المغدور، سنتي 2017 و 2018 قد تواصلت وأثمرت عن اتفاق بديل، صيني أوكراني، قامت بموجبه شركة Beijing Skyrizon Aviation الصينية باستثمار 250 مليون دولار في الشركة الأوكرانية، المذكورة اعلاه، لإقامة مركز تجميع وخدمات لمنتجات الشركة الأوكرانية، في مدينة شونغ كينك Chongqing في جنوب غرب الصين.

ـ وهذا يعني ان الدور، الذي لعبه السفير المغدور، في تحقيق هذه الصفقة التجارية التكنولوجية العالية الأهمية، كان دوراً مركزياً وغاية في الأهمية، وهو الأمر الذي جعل الإدارة الأميركية تطلق حملة من التهديد، قادها جون بولتون في حينه، بالعقوبات ضد كل من الصين واوكرانيا، الامر الذي جعل السفير الصيني يرد بما معناه ان العقوبات لن تجدي نفعاً في وقف تعاون مثمر بين بلدين ذوي سيادة.
وقد شاركه، في التصدي لهذه الحملة الجديدة، عضو البرلمان الاوكراني السابق، أوليه لايشكو Oleh Lyashko، عندما أصدر تصريحاً قال فيه: اذا كانت الولايات المتحدة لا تريدنا أن نبيع المحركات للصين فلتتفضل وتشتريها هي.

ـ وقد تأكد نجاح السفير المغدور، في إتمام تلك الصفقة، على الرغم من الضغوط والتهديدات الأميركية لأوكرانيا، وذلك على لسان رئيس شركة Motor Sich الاوكرانية، السيد فيياشيسلاف بوغوسلاييڤ Vyacheslav Boguslayev، الذي صرح لوكالة الانباء الوطنية الاوكرانية Ukrinform، بتاريخ 13/12/2019 ، وقال: لقد كانت لدينا مشكلة ووجدنا مستثمرين وبعنا أسهماً لهم (من اسهم الشركة الاوكرانية) وانا نفسي بعت أسهمي لهم.

ـ كما أن الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة شين واي التكنولوجية الصينية / Xinwei technology group، المملوكة للدولة الصينية ومقرها الأساسي في شنغهاي، السيد وانغ شينغ / Wang Jing / قد صرّح بان مجموعته قد اشترت 80 % من الشركة الاوكرانية منذ عام 2017 وبشكل قانوني تماماً، من خلال شراء حصص من قبل أفراد صينيّين، قيمة كل حصة أقل من 10% من قيمة أسهم الشركة الأوكرانية.
9 ـ من هنا فإن المناقصة التي دخلت اليها شركة CK Huchison Holdings الصينية، لبناء محطة تحلية مياه عملاقة في «إسرائيل» وإدارتها لمدة 25 عاماً، هي التي يجب التدقيق في الدور الذي لعبته في وفاة السفير الصيني المغدور وليس الجلطة القلبية. خاصة اذا ما أخذنا في عين الاعتبار ان هذا السفير قد تم تعيينه في تل أبيب اواسط شهر شباط 2020 وأنه كان مرشحاً أن يلعب دوراً مهماً في توسيع التعاون الاقتصادي والتكنولوجي بين الشركات الصينية والإسرائيلية، التي تتطلع الى (الشركات الإسرائيلية) للدخول مع الصين في تعاون يشمل الجيل الخامس من شبكات الاتصالات… إلى جانب أن كل ذلك يشكل خطوات هامة على طريق تحقيق المشروع الصيني العملاق طريق واحد وحزام واحد.
كل ذلك يؤكد لنا بأن ما جرى للسفير الصيني في تل أبيب ليست وفاة طبيعية حتى لو كانت، في الظاهر، ناتجة عن «مشاكل في القلب»…!.
لكن ثمة ما هو أهم كان قد حصل خلال زيارة بومبيو لتل ابيب قد يكشف حقيقة ما تعرّض له السفير الصيني في تل ابيب…!
فالمصادر المتابعة للزيارة تجزم بأن بومبيو هدد نتن ياهو بوقف التنسيق الأمني الأميركي مع «إسرائيل»، وان أجواء اللقاءات، التي عقدها وزير الخارجية الاميركية، مايك بومبيو، خلال زيارته قبل ايام للكيان الصهيوني، لم تكن هادئة أبداً وإن كانت سلطات تل ابيب قد أظهرتها على انها زاهية وأتقنت الإخراج، كما بدت الأجواء في مؤتمر بومبيو الصحافي، مع «صديقه» نتن ياهو، ومسؤولين إسرائيليين آخرين..!
اذ ان اجواء الاجتماعات الرسمية كما تؤكد تلك المصادر كانت اكثر بكثير من أجواء جدية، اذ سادها الكثير من التوتر والتهديد والوعيد لنتن ياهو، من قبل ضيفة «وصديقه» بومبيو.
ومواضيع البحث لم تكن، كما جرت العادة، مثل تفاصيل مؤامرة القرن، من ضم وقضم للاراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، او تهنئة بنجاح نتن ياهو في تشكيل حكومة جديدة، يعتقد البعض أنها حكومة حرب، وانما تركزت الزيارة على موضوع أساسي واحد هو :
الحرب على الصين الشعبية..!
وهي صديق القضية الفلسطينية والشعب الفلسطيني، وخط الصد الأول، في مواجهة آخر محاولات الولايات المتحدة لاستعادة جزء من هيبتها التي يتسارع تآكلها بشكل كبير، وفي كل ميادين المواجهة على صعيد العالم كله…
لذا فإن البحث قد تركز، في لقاءات بومبيو مع المسؤولين الإسرائيليين، على قضيتين أساسيتين هما :
1-
وقف أو منع مشاركة شركة CK Huchison Holdings الصينية، في مناقصة طرحتها «إسرائيل» لبناء محطة تحلية للمياه، اطلق عليها اسم سوريك بـ / Sorek B / الواقعة قرب قاعدة بالماخيم الجوية الإسرائيلية، المقامة على اراضي مدينة يِبْنا الفلسطينية المحتلة، بالقرب من منطقة ريشون ليتسيون الإسرائيلية جنوب تل ابيب.
علماً أن تكلفة هذه المحطة ستبلغ ملياراً ونصف المليار دولار، وستنفذها الشركة الصينية، بالتعاون مع شركة IDE TECHNOLOGIES الإسرائيلية، اذا ما رست المناقصة عليهما والتي ستعلن نتيجتها يوم 24/5/2020.

وفِي هذا الإطار فقد طلب الوزير الاميركي من نتنياهو وقف مشاركة الشركة الصينية، في تنفيذ هذا مشروع البنى التحتية المائية هذا، لما تشكله مشاركة شركات صينية من تهديد «لأمن المواطن الإسرائيلي والاميركي»، حسب ما قاله وزير الخارجية الاميركية لمحطة «كان» التلفزيونية الإسرائيلية، خلال مقابلة له معها، أجريت خلال زيارته لتل ابيب قبيل ايام.

ومن الجدير بالذكر ايضاً ان هذا الخلاف، الإسرائيلي الاميركي، ليس وليد الزيارة، المشار اليها اعلاه، وانما تمتد جذورها الى العام الماضي، حيث كانت الادارة الاميركية قد طلبت من رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي إعادة النظر، في كل مشاريع التعاون الإسرائيلية الصينية، لما لها من أضرار على العلاقة بين واشنطن وتل ابيب. مما اضطر نتنياهو، في شهر 10/2019، الى تشكيل لجنة فنية، لبحث هذا الموضوع، خضوعاً للامر الاميركي.

ولكن الادارة الاميركية لم تقتنع بالاجراءات الإسرائيلية الشكلية، حسب ما نشره مركز راند الاميركي للدراسات الشهر الماضي، خاصة في ظل موافقة الحكومة الإسرائيلية، على عقد لشركة موانئ صينية مختصة بادارة الموانئ، تتولى بموجبه هذه الشركة ادارة ميناء حيفا، الذي يضم، في جزئه الشمالي، قاعدة بحرية أميركية. وهو ما استوجب تدخلاً أميركياً. بشخص وزير الخارجية الاميركي نفسه.

وبناءً على ما وصلت إليه الاتصالات بين الطرفين، بخصوص نشاط الشركات الصينية في «إسرائيل، فإن وزير الخارجية الاميركي، قد ابلغ نتنياهو، بان الولايات المتحدة ستقوم بتخفيض او حتى وقف التعاون الاستخباري مع «إسرائيل»، اذا لم تقم «إسرائيل» بالاستجابة للشروط الاميركية، حسب ما اكد مصدر خاص تابع الزيارة المذكورة. وهذا يعني امراً أميركياً لنتنياهو بوقف نشاط الشركات الصينية والاستثمارات الصينية في «إسرائيل».
علماً ان الحكومة الإسرائيلية منخرطة في مباحثات مع شركات صينية، لمنحها حقوق ادارة ميناء اسدود جنوب البلاد، الى جانب وجود تعاون صناعي عسكري بين شركات الصناعات العسكرية الإسرائيلية والعديد من الشركات الصينية، الامر الذي تعتبره واشنطن خطراً على أسرارها الصناعية وخاصة العسكرية منها.

اذن فإن هذه الزيارة لم تكن زيارة مجاملة، او ذات طابع بروتوكولي او ما شابه ذلك، وانما كانت زيارة ميدانية لإصدار أوامر محددة، وتحت طائلة المسؤولية لنتنياهو. وبالتالي فإن من الضروري تصنيف هذه الزيارة في خانة إجراءات الحرب الاقتصادية على الصين، التي تؤشر الى أن الولايات المتحدة سوف ترغم أذنابها من أعراب وأوروبيين، في القريب العاجل، على الانخراط في حربها المتعددة الوسائل ضد الصين، والطلب منهم تخفيض تبادلاتهم التجارية معها إن لم يكن وقفها بالكامل.
وهي خطوات أميركية عدائية، لا تختلف عن إعلان الحرب، وان لم تكن بالوسائل العسكرية حتى الآن. هذه الخطوات التي لن تقف جمهورية الصين الشعبية مكتوفة الأيدي تجاهها وانما ستتخذ سلسلة من الإجراءات، المالية والتجارية والاقتصادية، التي ستكلف الاقتصاد الاميركي أثماناً، ليس بمقدور سمسار العقارات، دونالد ترامب، تقديرها ومواجهة تداعياتها.
العالم يشتبك، ومركز ثقلة ينتقل من الغرب الى الشرق، والسنن الكونية تفعل فعلها…!
President Trump has revealed a plan to mobilize the US military to deliver mass vaccinations across the country, coupled with Operation Warp Speed, a “Manhattan project-style” race to produce a COVID-19 vaccine.
Aformer Big Pharma executive and a four-star General have just been appointed by President Trump to lead a “Manhattan project-style effort to develop a vaccine for the novel coronavirus.” The effort, called Operation Warp Speed, has set a goal to create 300 million doses of a non-existent vaccine by January.
Moncef Slaoui, who used to run research and development for the world’s largest vaccine company, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), oversaw the development of an Ebola vaccine in tandem with the American National Institutes of Health (NIH) and a biotech firm the company had acquired two years earlier, that was distributed in the West African nation of Liberia in 2015. Slaoui joined the board of directors of the Human Vaccines Project in 2018; a public-private partnership that intends to “accelerate the development of vaccines and immunotherapies against major global diseases” and counts with the participation of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the world, including Sanofi Pasteur, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and, of course, GSK.
Joining him will be U.S. Army General Gustave F. Perna, commanding general of the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC) – the primary provider of materiel to the United States Army – since 2016. As such, Perna has been in charge of logistical management for the Department of Defense’s (DoD) co-production agreements of American weapons systems with foreign countries, in addition to the approximately 149 locations worldwide and over 70,000 military and civilian employees who carry out the command’s motto: “If a Soldier shoots it, drives it, flies it, wears it, communicates with it, or eats it – AMC provides it.”
The announcement comes two days after a press release by the Department of Defense revealed that a $138 million contract was awarded to ApiJect Systems America for the production of millions of prefilled syringes as part of projects “Jumpstart” and “RAPID” (Rapid Aseptic Packaging of Injectable Drugs). The DoD claims that the contract will “dramatically expand U.S. production capability” of injectable vaccines by October of this year. Project Jumpstart, according to the press release, was coordinated with their Joint Acquisition Task Force and HHS’s Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), led by Dr. Robert Kadlec, who has recently been the subject of intense scrutiny over some highly questionable ties to Big Pharma and curious past.
A tug of war for the SNS
The Trump administration’s ostensibly independent program to develop and deploy a vaccine against COVID-19 had been in the hands of his son-in-law, Jared Kushner and Trump advisor, Peter Navarro, though Bloomberg reported in April that HHS Secretary Alex Azar had been tasked by Trump to speed up the development of a vaccine and had been meeting for at least a month prior with White House officials.
The rollout is occurring as Congressional attention focuses on irregularities surrounding the supply of ventilators in the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS), a thousand of which were shipped to South Africa just the other day. In addition, yesterday’s so-called “whistleblower” testimony by ousted Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) chief, Rick Bright, is also spotlighting the issues at the SNS, which is controlled by HHS’ ASPR, Robert Kadlec. BARDA is an office within ASPR that is tasked with sourcing pharmaceutical and medical supplies for the Strategic National Stockpile.
More controversy surrounding the Strategic National Stockpile erupted after Kushner made remarks about the role the SNS plays in emergency deployment situations. Kushner was harshly criticized for implying that the SNS belonged to the federal government and served only as a back-up for states, who should be accumulating their own stockpiles. Despite being contradicted by well-established guidelines, which make clear that the SNS is in place to shore up any deficiencies in a public health emergency, the White House deliberately changed the language on its website to back up Kushner’s erroneous assertions about the stockpile.
What seems clear, however, is that Kushner himself was not the mastermind behind the sudden policy tweak. Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a spokesperson for the Office of the ASPR told CNN they had been using such language “for weeks now.” Considering the history of how the SNS came to be in the hands of the ASPR, this latest tweak to how the SNS is managed might just be a new wrinkle in an old plan to mass inoculate the population of the United States.
Mass involuntary vaccines and jostling for profits
Yesterday, President Donald Trump revealed that a decision had been made to mobilize the U.S. military to deliver mass vaccinations across the country. The “massive job,” however, still has no discernable vaccine yet to inject into the American population “at the end of the year.” Trump’s group of medical advisors, including NIAID director, Anthony Fauci, are skeptical that any such vaccine can be developed sooner than 12 to 18 months.
“Duplication only leads to infighting and slowing people down,” said former U.S. ASPR, Nicole Lurie regarding the creation of Operation Warp Speed. She decried the spirit of marketplace competition, stating that the world “should be engaged in this competition against the virus, not against one another.”
With over 110 COVID-19 vaccines in development – only eight of which have entered human trials – the race to be the vaccine chosen for deployment by the ASPR in the forthcoming potentially compulsory vaccination of more than 300 million people has many people seeing green.

الحديث عن اتفاق17 أيار والظروف التي أحاطت بولادته واهدافه، يكتسب أهمية هذه الأيام انطلاقاً من المحاولات الدؤوبة لإعادة إنتاج مثل هذا الاتفاق، والسعي إلى تشريع وجود هذا الكيان الغاصب الاستعماري على أرض فلسطين العربية المحتلة، ومحاولة النيل والتخلص من المقاومة التي هزمت الجيش الصهيوني الذي قيل يوماً إنه لا يُقهر، وأسقطت اتفاق 17 أيار ودشنت عصر قوة لبنان بمقاومته وشعبه وجيشه، واضعة نهاية لمقولة «قوة لبنان في ضعفه» التي كانت تجعل من لبنان فريسة سهلة لاعتداءات وأطماع العدو الصهيوني.
لكن مع ذلك لا زال قادة العدو «الإسرائيلي» يحلمون بإعادة لبنان إلى كنف الوصاية والهيمنة الأميركية الصهيونية ليبقى ساحة للتآمر على العرب، ويعبثون من خلالها بأمن الدول العربية التحرّرية، وفي المقدّمة سورية التي دعمت المقاومة وأسهمت في إسقاط 17 أيار وصناعة انتصار المقاومة عام الفين والذي نحتفل فيه بعد أيام في 25 أيار الحالي.. ولهذا عملوا وما زالوا يعملون للقضاء على المقاومة التي شكلت المثال في إثبات القدرة على مقاومة جيش الاحتلال «الإسرائيلي» وإلحاق الهزيمة المذلة به…
لقد جاء القرار1559 «الإسرائيلي» الصنع كمحاولة أولى لإحداث انقلاب في لبنان ضدّ المقاومة ولإعادته إلى فلك الوصاية الأميركية الصهيونية، ولدى فشل الإنقلاب بعد اغتيال الرئيس رفيق الحريري عام 2005 شنّ العدو محاولة ثانية، حربه العدوانية على لبنان سنة 2006 بدعم غربي وغطاء من بعض الأنظمة العربية، لسحق المقاومة وضرب المثال الذي قدّمته في مقاومة الاحتلال وإمكان هزيمته وتحرير فلسطين والأراضي العربية. لكن فشل هذه الحرب وانتصار المقاومة التاريخي والاستراتيجي ضاعف القلق الأميركي الصهيوني، ودفع واشنطن و»تل أبيب» إلى التحضير لمحاولة ثالثة تمثلت في تنظيم الحرب الإرهابية على سورية لإسقاط نظامها المقاوم الذي كان له دور مهمّ في تمكين المقاومة من الصمود وتحقيق نصر تموز، ولهذا الغرض حشدت جيوش الإرهابيين من أنحاء العالم وقدمت إليهم مختلف إشكال الدعم العسكري والمالي والتسهيلات من دول جوار سورية، وشُكل تحالف دولي إقليمي عربي وفر الدعم السياسي لهؤلاء الإرهابيين، ومع ذلك فشلت هذه الحرب الأمريكية الصهيونية الرجعية في تحقيق أهدافها في السيطرة على سورية وتحويلها إلى دولة عميلة ومتابعة للاستعمار، وها هي سورية بقيادة الرئيس المقاوم الدكتور بشار الأسد تقف على أعتاب إعلان تحقيق النصر النهائي ضدّ أشرس حرب كونية إرهابية قادتها إدارة العدوان والارهاب العالمي في واشنطن..
إذا كان أمراً طبيعياً أن يعمل أعداؤنا على محاولة إنتاج اتفاق 17 أيار جديد، بلوغاً إلى تصفية القضية الفلسطينية من خلال محاولة إسقاط سورية، ظهير المقاومة، كي يسهل بعد ذلك القضاء على المقاومة، فمن غير الطبيعي أن تنخرط قوى لبنانية وعربية، بأشكال مختلفة، في هذه الحرب ضدّ المقاومة وسورية وعموم جبهة المقاومة، والسعي إلى إعادة إنتاج ظروف مماثلة لتلك الظروف التي أنتجت اتفاق 17 أيار..
إنّ بعض الأصوات الداخلية التي وقفت مع الاتفاق ودافعت عن الاتفاق وصوّتت له هي نفسها لا تزال تنخرط في الحرب الناعمة الأميركية الصهيونية لتشويه صورة المقاومة والإساءة إلى سمعتها في سياق العمل للنيل منها.. وهذه الأصوات هي التي تستمرّ في الدفاع عن الاتفاق وتصويره على أنه يحقق ما سموه جلاء القوات «الإسرائيلية» عن لبنان، بينما تشكل جميع بنود الاتفاق انتقاصاً من سيادة لبنان واستقلاله وتعطي «إسرائيل» مكاسب أمنية وسياسية واقتصادية كانت في طليعة الأهداف التي سعت إليها من اجتياح لبنان سنة 1982 إلى جانب ضرب المقاومة الفلسطينية وتنصيب نظام موالٍ لها في بيروت، والعمل على محاصرة سورية تمهيداً إلى محاولة فرض الاستسلام عليها، بعدما فشلت جميع محاولات الترغيب والترهيب والحصار وتقويض استقرارها الداخلي بثنيها عن التشبث بمواقفها الوطنية والقومية والدفاع عنها.
إنّ الذين يدعون الدفاع عن سيادة لبنان واستقلاله اليوم، والذين يشكّكون في صدقية ومناقبية المقاومة، كان بعضهم في طليعة من وقّع على الاتفاق وصوّت وسوّق له، والبعض الآخر لم يطلق طلقة واحدة ضدّ الاحتلال بل استقبل قادة العدو وسهل لهم دخولهم، ولم يتوان عن لعب دور أمني في حماية الاحتلال من عمليات المقاومة.
فهذا الاتفاق الذي صدّق عليه مجلس النواب اللبناني بتاريخ 13/6/1983 لم يرفضه من النواب، سوى النائبين زاهر الخطيب ونجاح واكيم، اللذين يسجل التاريخ لهما هذا الموقف المقاوم المشرّف للاحتلال وعملائه.. ولقد تمّ التوصل إلى الاتفاق بعد مفاوضات طويلة بين الجانبين «الإسرائيلي» واللبناني، وبرعاية أميركية مباشرة، في ظلّ ظروف وتطورات مهّدت للاتفاق.
ما هي تلك الظروف؟

ـ احتلال قوات الجيش «الإسرائيلي» لمعظم الأراضي اللبنانية، بما فيها العاصمة بيروت، وسيطرته على سائر المرافق الحيوية في البلاد، بعد انسحاب منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية من بيروت بموجب اتفاق رعته الولايات المتحدة الأميركية، وبلغ عدد القوات «الإسرائيلية» التي اجتاحت لبنان 120 ألف جندي.

ـ إجراء انتخابات لرئاسة الجمهورية في ظل الاحتلال وإشرافه وتدخله المباشر بدعم ترشيح بشير الجميّل الذي سارع البرلمان اللبناني، بضغط من «إسرائيل»، إلى التعجيل في عملية انتخاب أمين الجميّل، شقيق بشير الجميّل، بعد مقتل الأخير.
انطلقت المفاوضات بين فندق ليبانون بيتش في خلدة قرب بيروت، ومستوطنة «كريات شمونة» في فلسطين المحتلة قرب الحدود مع لبنان.

ـ قيام نظام أمين الجميّل بالتنسيق مع الاحتلال بحملة قمع منظمة للقوى الوطنية واعتقالات واسعة للقيادات والعناصر الوطنية، وحصل تواطؤ مع جيش الاحتلال في ارتكاب مجزرة صبرا وشاتيلا التي استهدفت بث الرعب في صفوف المواطنين وخلق مناخات من الاستسلام ومحاولة قتل إرادة المقاومة، والانتقام في الوقت ذاته.

ـ ممارسة عملية ترهيب وترغيب مع النواب، لدفعهم إلى الموافقة على الاتفاق أو الامتناع عن معارضته، وحصل تهديد مباشر للنواب الذين أعلنوا رفضهم للاتفاق إذا ذهبوا إلى الجلسة العامة في 17 أيار. (زاهر الخطيب، ونجاح واكيم).
هذه الظروف الذي نشأ فيها اتفاق 17 أيار المشؤوم ووقع عليه البرلمان اللبناني، تشير إلى أنه فُرض بالإكراه وقسراً في ظلّ الاحتلال والسيطرة «الإسرائيلية» الكاملة والضغط المباشر، وكان نظام أمين الجميّل من أشدّ المتحمّسين له.
يؤكد القانون الدولي في هذا المجال أن الاتفاقات التي تبرم في ظلّ الاحتلال باطلة بطلاناً مطلقاً أو قابلة للإبطال من قبل الدولة المقهورة، علماً أنّ لبنان كان عهدذاك مسلوب الحرية ومنتقص الإرادة، ولذلك فإن مثل هذا الاتفاق سمي باتفاق الإكراه والإذعان والاستسلام لشروط الاحتلال «الإسرائيلي».
إذاً كانت هذه الظروف التي جرى في ظلها إنضاج وتوقيع الاتفاق، فإنّ فكرة توقيع اتفاق صلح مع لبنان نشأت بعدما رأت «إسرائيل» أنّ اتفاقيات كامب ديفيد لم تلبّ أهدافها لناحية تحقيق الانفتاح الاقتصادي معه، وتحويل مصر إلى جسر عبور للدول العربية، بل رأت أنّ الفرصة مواتية لبلوغ ذلك عبر لبنان الذي اختير محطة ثانية بعد مصر لعدة عوامل ومبررات أبرزها:
العامل الأول: إن لبنان يشكل المنافس الاقتصادي الأول لـ«إسرائيل» والعقبة الأهمّ أمام أطماعها في تحقيق الهيمنة والسيطرة على الدول العربية، ولذلك أرادت استغلال روابط لبنان مع الدول العربية لتحقيق ذلك.
العامل الثاني: حالة التمزّق التي كان يعيشها لبنان نتيجة الحرب الأهلية، والتي اتخذت منحى تآكلياً فيما انهارت مؤسسات الدولة وتضرّر الاقتصاد اللبناني كثيراً.
العامل الثالث: التذرّع بأمن «إسرائيل» لتبرير اجتياح لبنان واحتلاله إن بحجة وجود المقاومة الفلسطينية، أو بحجة الدفاع عن المسيحيين.
العامل الرابع: توافر مناخ شجع «إسرائيل» على الاجتياح ويتمثل ببعض القوى المتعاملة والمتعاونة معها ولم تكن تخفي تأييدها لإقدام «إسرائيل» على غزو لبنان كي تتمكن، عبر الاستقواء به وبواسطته، من السيطرة على الحكم في البلاد.
إنها الظروف التي أنتجت توقيع اتفاق 17 أيار المشؤوم ونشوء الفكرة «إسرائيلياً» لاختيار لبنان كثاني بلد عربي بعد مصر لتوقيع اتفاق صلح مع «إسرائيل»، في سياق المخطط «الإسرائيلي» الأميركي الهادف إلى تشريع وجود الكيان الصهيوني الغاصب لفلسطين وجعله كيان طبيعي في المنطقة يملك جميع مقومات التفوق والهيمنة فيها، كما قال وأوضح موريس الجميّل في كراس له تحت عنوان «اسرائيل وسياسة النعامة».
انطلاقاً مما تقدّم، ان ما تتعرّض له المقاومة اليوم من حرب ناعمة تشنها ضدّها واشنطن والدول والأنظمة التابعة لها، إنما يندرج في سياق السعي الى تحقيق:

ـ محاولة اضعاف والقضاء على المقاومة، التي أسقطت اتفاق 17 أيار والحقت الهزيمة بجيش الاحتلال وحطمت اسطورته عامي 2000 و 2006.

ـ إعادة إخضاع لبنان إلى الهيمنة الاستعمارية.. وخصوصا بعدما أصبحت المقاومة تشكل العقبة الكأداء امام هذا المشروع الاستعماري وتسهم في اضعاف سيطرته في المنطقة، وكذلك بعد ان تحولت المقاومة إلى قوة رادعة تحمي لبنان وثرواته من الاعتداءات والأطماع الصهيونية، وتهدد وجود الكيان الغاصب وتجعله في حالة قلق على وجوده، لا سيما بعد انتصارات محور المقاومة في سورية واكتساب المقاومة المزيد من الخبرات والقدرات في الحرب ضد جيوش الإرهاب..
من هنا فإنّ الالتفاف حول المقاومة والتمسك بالمعادلة الماسية، جيش وشعب ومقاومة، هو الضمانة التي أثبتت انها القادرة على حماية لبنان من العدوانية والأطماع والصهيونية، ومنع إعادة لبنان إلى زمن الخضوع للمحتل الصهيوني، والحيلولة دون إنتاج اتفاق مشابه لاتفاق ١٧ إيار المشؤوم الذي اسقطته المقاومة الشعبية والمسلحة وتضحيات الشهداء والجرحى والأسرى…
More than 250 global artists and writers including rocker Peter Gabriel, director Ken Loach and actor Viggo Mortensen have appealed to Israel to stop the “siege” of Gaza.
The coronavirus epidemic could have a devastating effect in “the world’s largest open-air prison”, the artists said in an online letter.
“Long before the global outbreak of COVID-19 threatened to overwhelm the already devastated healthcare system in Gaza, the UN had predicted that the blockaded coastal strip would be unliveable by 2020,” the letter said.
“With the pandemic, Gaza’s almost two million inhabitants, predominantly refugees, face a mortal threat in the world’s largest open-air prison,” it added.
Other signatories included poet Taha Adnan, Canadian writer Naomi Klein and British group Massive Attack.
The Gaza Strip has been under an Israeli blockade since 2007 when the Islamist movement Hamas took control of the enclave.
Israel argues the measures are necessary to isolate Hamas, considered a terrorist organization by most Western countries.
It says that restrictions on some imports to the coastal strip are designed to deny Hamas materials that could be used to enhance its fighting capabilities.
Israel and Hamas have fought three wars since the group took control of the enclave, but reached a tentative truce in late 2018 that was renewed after successive flare-ups last year.
The Gaza Strip also borders Egypt, which severely restricts movement in and out of the territory.
“Well before the ongoing crisis, Gaza’s hospitals were already stretched to breaking point through lack of essential resources denied by Israel’s siege. Its healthcare system could not cope with the thousands of gunshot wounds, leading to many amputations,“ the artists said.
“Reports of the first cases of coronavirus in densely-populated Gaza are therefore deeply disturbing,“ they said.
“We back Amnesty International’s call on all world governments to impose a military embargo on Israel until it fully complies with its obligations under international law.“

عاماً بعد عام يزداد محور المقاومة مناعة وقوة امتداداً من بيروت إلى دمشق وبغداد والقدس وصنعاء وصولاً إلى طهران، وقد راكم هذا المحور خبرات قتالية خلال السنوات الأخيرة، لا سيما من خلال مشاركته في مواجهة الحرب الكونية على سورية.
لعقود طويلة، ظلّت معادلة الصراع مع العدو الصهيوني غير متوازنة حتى أيار عام 2000 تاريخ تحرير جنوب لبنان من الاحتلال «الإسرائيلي» الذي خرج جيشه يجرّ أذيال الخيبة والانكسار بعد أن قيل عنه يوماً إنه «لا يقهر».
منذ ذلك التاريخ، لم تهدأ محاولات استهداف حزب الله الذي تمكّن من تغيير موازين القوى وإجبار الصهاينة على الانسحاب كما تمكّن من تحرير عدد كبير من الأسرى اللبنانيين والعرب في مفاوضات غير مباشرة، ولم يوفّر التحالف الصهيوني الأميركي، بمساعدة بعض العرب، وسيلة إلا واستخدمها من أجل التضييق عليه وتأليب اللبنانيين ضدّه.
عام 2005، وتحديداً بعد اغتيال رئيس الوزراء اللبناني الأسبق رفيق الحريري بدأ التحضير لمؤامرة جديدة بتوجيه أصابع الاتهام إلى سورية وتحميلها مسؤولية عملية الاغتيال لتستمرّ الضغوط حتى خروج الجيش السوري من لبنان صيف 2005.
في العام 2006 شنّت «إسرائيل» عدواناً على لبنان لتأتي النتائج عكس ما تمنّاه العدو الصهيوني والقوى التي تقف خلفه فانتصرت المقاومة ومن جديد هزم الجيش «الذي لا يُقهر» في عدوان الثلاثة وثلاثين يوماً ولا تزال المؤامرات تستهدف حزب الله حتى يومنا هذا.
بعد ذلك، اندلعت أحداث ما سمّي «الربيع العربي» وهي استكمال للمؤامرة الصهيوأميركية على دول المنطقة العربية، خاصة سورية قلب المقاومة، وبما أنّ استهداف القلب مقدّمة لإنهاء الجسد، شُنَّت الحرب الكونية على سورية واستجلب إليها الإرهابيون والمرتزقة من كلّ أصقاع العالم، عندها استدرك حزب الله حجم المؤامرة فوقف إلى جانب سورية وتحقّق النصر وسقطت المؤامرة، لتبدأ اللعبة من جديد باستهداف لبنان وإيران في وقت واحد بحراك شعبي ظاهره مطالب معيشية وباطنه تدمير ممنهج.
سقطت المؤامرة في إيران ونجحت المقاومة في لبنان في امتصاص الغضب وضبط النفس ووضع مصلحة لبنان فوق كلّ مصلحة، وفي خضمّ الوضع الاقتصادي الصعب تمكنت القوى الوطنية، وعلى رأسها حزب الله من تشكيل حكومة أقرّت خطة اقتصادية إصلاحية وبدأت بملاحقة كلّ من تلاعبوا بأوجاع اللبنانيين ولقمة عيشهم.
إلا أنّ محاولات محاصرة حزب الله لم تنتهِ، لتكون ألمانيا هذه المرّة مركز اللعبة الجديدة بحظرها نشاطات «حزب الله» على أراضيها وتصنيفه كمنظمة إرهابية، وبطبيعة الحال فإنّ هذا الإجراء يتلاقى مع أهداف «إسرائيل» وأميركا، وقد أكد ذلك أمين عام حزب الله السيد حسن نصرالله في أحد خطاباته قائلاً إنّ «حزب الله ليس له أيّ تنظيمات في أيّ بلد أوروبي أو في أيّ من دول العالم»، مشيراً إلى أنّ «اللبنانيين في ألمانيا أو في أيّ بلد هم من المؤيدين لمقاومة الاحتلال وهؤلاء ليس لهم أيّ علاقة تنظيمية مع حزب الله». وهذا يجعلنا نتساءل: أليست مقاومة المحتلّ ومقارعته حقّاً مشروعاً لجميع الشعوب دون استثناء تكفله القوانين والشرائع الدولية؟ ألا يخدم الامتناع عن تحديد مفهوم للإرهاب الإدارة الأميركية راعية الإرهاب في العالم والعدو الصهيوني؟ إلا يشرعن المعنى الفضفاض للإرهاب التدخلات في شؤون الدول واحتلالها ونهب ثرواتها؟ وهل يتساوى المقاوم المدافع عن أرضه وبيته مع الإرهابي المحتلّ؟ وهل يتساوى الجلاد مع الضحية؟
لطالما كان حزب الله ولا يزال إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني والمقاومة في فلسطين بكلّ فصائلها وحركاتها من دون تمييز أو استثناء، وكلّ محاولات حصاره والتضييق عليه هي بسبب مواقفه التي تعيق تنفيذ «صفقة القرن» المزعومة التي تهدف إلى نسف قضية فلسطين وحقوق أبنائها وإبقائهم في الشتات إلى ما لا نهاية.
في أجواء ذكرى نكبة فلسطين وعلى بعد أيام من اليوم العالمي للقدس الذي أعلنه الإمام الخميني ليكون في آخر يوم جمعة من شهر رمضان المبارك، نؤكد أنّ قضية فلسطين ستبقى حية في وجدان الأمة، ما دامت هناك مقاومة في لبنان وسورية والعراق وفلسطين واليمن وإيران، وما دامت هناك أيدٍ مضرجة تقرع باب الحرية سننتصر بإذن الله.
About 2 dozen Turkish-backed militants have been killed or wounded in a recent series of clashes in northern Syria. 14 of them were reportedly killed in a failed attack on positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) near Kubrlik overnight on May 17 and up to 10 were killed or injured in clashes near Hazwan on May 15. Reacting to its own failures, Turkish-backed forces carried out a series of mortar and artillery strikes on SDF positions near Ayn Issa, Tall Tamr and Tall Unayb on May 16, May 17 and early on May 18.
Firefights and artillery duels between Turkish-backed forces and the SDF regularly erupt in this part of Syria. However, both sides do not conduct large-scale offensive operations against each other and despite the violations the ceasefire regime formally remains in force.
On May 17, seven former ISIS members fled the SDF-controlled camp of al-Hawl in the province of al-Hasakah, which holds a large number of the former ISIS fighters and their families. Following the incident, SDF security forces in the area were placed on a high alert. The search operation has been ongoing. Some pro-Kurdish sources claim that the fleeing terrorists have been already detained, but these calms remain unconfirmed. This is the second security incident in al-Hawl in less than 10 days. On May 13, SDF security forces foiled a plot of ISIS wives to set the camp on fire and flee to Turkey.
Early on May 18 reports appeared that a drone strike allegedly struck the area near a convoy of the Syrian Army in the district of Maadan in Raqqa province. Several Syrian Army soldiers were reportedly wounded. It remains unclear who was behind the attack, but the two main suspects are Turkey and the US-led coalition.
On May 17, US armoured vehicles chased in the province of al-Hasakah a Russian military convoy with 150 tones of humanitarian aid being sent to civilians in northeastern Syria, but were unable to stop it.
A firefight between the Syrian Army and ISIS members erupted near the town of al-Sukhna, on the Homs-Deir Ezzor highway. According to reports, ISIS cells tried to cut off the road, but were forced to retreat. Regular attacks by ISIS cells operating in the desert area remain a notable security threat for government forces.
At the same time, the situation in Greater Idlib once again de-escalated. After failing to capture Tanjarah in northwestern Hama last week, al-Qaeda-linked groups reduced their activity on the frontline. Despite this, it’s highly likely that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and its allies will conduct more limited attempts to expand their zone of control in southern Idlib and western Hama in the coming weeks.
